Re: Play Against the Legends !!

Blimey ... I'd jump at the chance of this if I were in England. It would have to be against the likes of Gordon Neate, though.

Re: Little mention of Reading, pic of Deathy

I remember that game - I was on bloody holiday with my parents in Bognor - but it was on the telly! In colour! And the track around the pitch showed up more orange than Dave Kitson's head. Notice Steve Death's height - or lack of it. And the fact that he wasn't wearing gloves (ok, common in those da...

Re: Scouts

Erwin will know. Er ... should, but don't, unfortunately. I don't see why Reading wouldn't be able to buy this bloke. He wouldn't cost more than 5m because he doesn't really have much of a track record yet, apart from this year when he looks like he'll finish top scorer in the Liga . But the questi...

Scouts

Reading scouts have apparently been watching Portugal's top scorer (14) NenĂª, Brazilian, 22. He didn't score at the weekend, and his team, Nacional, lost at Estrela da Amadora. But the boy's mustard.

I'm fed up with all the fatalism ... we're going to stay up - start chanting it to yourself now ... in those drowsy moments just before you get up in the morning, while you're taking your first piss, while you're brushing your pegs, in the shower, over your cornies, on the train to work, at the phot...

Underrated_Players

OK - we've done the worst (and as I'm a relative newcomer here, you've probably done this, too) ... but who are the players that are never mentioned as greats at the club? One from the 60s: Brian Faulkes ... (pictured here at Northampton). I always remember him wearing the front of his shirt (only e...

Technically we didn't. We lost 3-2, Gordon Durie had put them 3-0 up and they were coasting it. Colin popped up with 2 goals including the back heel to lose 3-2 but win the tie 5-4 after a 3-1 home win. Well remembered, fozzy! I was up the Shed end with some Chelsea friends (and some other real nea...

Colin Grodon was a lump, yes, but he was a trier ... and I remember him getting a cracking, back-heeeld goal at Chelsea in a League Cup match which we WON!!! Malcolm Swain is traditionally thought of as being the absolute pits, as I recall ... . He did take a training session for us Ascot United U-1...
