Re: Rival Watch

AthleticoSpizz Yeah, the 1-0 winner at Bromley (pre-season first ever Premiership season).
Brown broke a leg, Feds played up front, Hamer went in goal iirc.

Not sure, if posted elsewhere, however noticed that Swinscum game already sold out. Now that...is gunna be a propa game of footie

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a)

That was kinda part of the problem against Wimbledon. Kept too many of the cup players in. Neither Garcia nor Ahmed should have started. I wouldn’t have started either. But I think it’s a bit of a sign of the mixed up thinking to bring them both into the first 11 when they hadn’t previously played ...

Re: BFTG - AFC Wimbledon

Noel touched on this on BBCRB after the match. He said that when Wing is playing further forward he is often being man marked and can’t get on the ball as much. Idea of dropping deep then free’s up a full back to go into midfield. Saw that a bit today with Matty Jacob. This is the thing I'm amazed ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : AFC Wimbledon (h)

With all the dialogue around Hunty getting his P45, I honestly think that if it got to a point whereby he thought there was somebody else out there who could do a better job, he would more than likely stepped down anyway. He's clearly a man of integrity and has the club in his heart. Plus he would ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : AFC Wimbledon (h)

The Garcia chance at 0-0 obviously massive. We were on top and probably go on to win if he scores, plus it would have been a lovely team goal to build confidence. But it's newly promoted Wimbledon at home. We should still have had enough after that miss. Physiological advantage to the Wombles for C...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Portsmouth (a)

stealthpapes Yeah, I agree overall, I didn't think he did much else wrong. Just that handball incident felt like he was playing it as safe as possible.

Agreed. Hang on a minute, I'm sounding like that 'Hirkenbakker' (sp?) geezer. Where's he gone these days? Must be away on his gap year

Re: MATCHWATCH : Portsmouth (a)

Oh yeah, and the referee absolutely bottled the handball incident, so far as I could see. Everybody will have their own take on that, however I tend to agree with you stealth and in comparison to the bodybuilding clown that we had last Saturday, I thought, overall, he had a decent game. And if anyt...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Portsmouth (a)

Don’t think anyone was expecting that tonight - the confidence we will take from it will be massive. Many lauding the away end tonight too, for the most part top drawer - then anyone signing OWTS ruined it, nothing more embarrassing than an away end singing another teams song to wind up home fans, ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Portsmouth (a)

Could well be a repeat of Millwall a couple of years ago. Struggled at the start of the season, then went to Millwall and won 4-0(?). It may not have been 4-0, but I’ll take the 8) regardless. Lost 4-0 at home in a PSF against them 3 weeks ago, now win 2-1 at Fratton. Think we can say that, at the ...

Re: Rival Watch

Momentarily? Wasn't it 45 minutes or so? Seem to recall we should really have had a third before half time and Torres' goal (the Chavsea third) was about 25 miles offside. It started with Fedders letting in a harmless long shot. I think that squad was always ultimately destined for relegation due t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (h)

Don't forget your blue and white balloons on Saturday lads  Blue and white tennis balls instead for old times sake? Sounds good mate. Then again, why not save it for the away game at Swinscum? Now that would be funny. Ollie may well have calmed down by then, and it'll be time to send his bp t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (a)

Fine with that. :| Supposedly going to lose 4-0 according to the experts on here and controlled much of the game with most of the possession. Not got our forward line set up yet and there's limited understanding, but we still hit the post twice, had a goal disallowed and a penalty turned down...
