Re: MATCHWATCH : West Ham United U21

I'd like to see us try and have a run in this this season....the league looks done already, we'll likely pull clear of the bottom area but aren't going to challenge the top half.

Re: Jack Marriott / strikers

I've got results from 1871-2000 in a book by statto Alan Sedunary somewhere.....but it may be Marriott has the record now for games where the player started.

EDIT - a couple of Twitter stattos confirm he is the first RFC player to achieve a goal in each of his first 4 starts.

Re: Record Watch 25/26

That 13 wins will take some catching as its from the start of the season which makes it harder given sides are bedding in new players.....pretty sure the record for any stage of the season is 14 as can remember at the time we were very close to it in 1985.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stockport County (a)

Hopefully we can start seeing this unnecessary and unwarranted negativity start to evaporate. One defeat in 6. 9 points from the last 6. 9 from 6 isn’t exactly amazing but definitely feels we’re getting into games more because we’re able to score regularly now Had and still have doubts and Marriott...

That side's ok given who's out, as long as it's 4-2-3-1.

Re: Ex Royals

Charlie Wellens gets an assist for Orient in their game against Stevenage today; seems to be getting some game time there.

Never seemed to get a chance here.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2024/25

Royals and Racers 10 a side- 1 sent off from each. Ryan for Reading- off the ball incident in 65 mins.
1-1 75 mins

Does the Ryan sending off and suspension affect first games?

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

Oh great, the 'old school approach'. I seem to remember P Ince adopted the same approach and that it leaked out that the sports scientists and physios were far from happy with it. I suspect that Hunt wasn't allowed to opt for that ultra high intensity approach with the academy youngsters and rightl...

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

Williams back on the grass in 4-5 weeks, out for 4-5 months apparently Corrected.  Was about to make a similar quip. Joking aside, this is a disaster for us. POC needs to return ASAP as Burns and Stickland are not good enough as a pair. I'd actually start Dorsett over Stickland. Agree - ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wrexham (a)

What did we think of Sam Smith last night?, long gone are the days of kissing the badge here, yes I know he has a new club now and we only sold him because we had too, but his lack of empathy for us was clear to see, fist pumping when he thought he had scored the second goal. I found it a little un...

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

Hunt's post match comments suggested Jacob may stay centre half at the weekend.....sounds like Williams and may Dorsett are out and O'Connor isn't ready as has been suggested.

Royals and Racers Strong team named

Stickland & Jacob against their masses of forward options fills me with dread.

We play an attacking midfield here and a defensive one on Saturday.....I've no idea what his logic is.

0-4

Re: Jack Marriott / strikers

Brogue 1 in each of his first 3 games. Have we ever had a player score in their 3 games before? I’ve been looking and can’t find anyone…

We're all wrong on this one....according to STAR on twitter, the last player to score on first three starts is Noel Hunt in 2008.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wrexham (a)

Obviously cups not important, but if we win this is starts getting interesting in the last 16. Real possibility of a big tie and payday if we win. So would go pretty strong. Rest Marriot as he looked knackered. Don't risk Williams even if available. Otherwise, go for it. Yes agree, would go strong ...

I’ve been looking and can’t find anyone… This is where you need someone with a data base, I don't know how you'd even begin to search for that. Curo did 2 in two and 4 in five. Butler scored 3 in his first two....

Elliott is out warming up so not injured. Same midfield as Wimbledon defeat.

And Blackpool beat Barnsley so we start 22nd.
