Re: MATCHWATCH : Exeter City (a)

WestYorksRoyal We've been decent this half. If it stays 1-1, probably leaves us in limbo whereby Hunt isn't sacked but nobody is convinced.

But have we been good because of obvious tactical adjustments?....

I'm not sure....

I agree that a draw just prolongs the doldrums....

Re: Club culture - are problems deeper than management?

To be success commercially, we need more fans attending games and the profile that comes with playing at a higher level. Absolutely, but how does the current predicament really stem from the Culture? Teams with a great Culture can under perform and toxic teams can be very successful (albeit usually...

Re: Club culture - are problems deeper than management?

The Man United analogy is interesting.... From an owner's perspective, Man United is a hugely successful commercial entity... Given the choice, would the new ownership here prefer: a) a commercially successful club with a mid team or b) a mid commercial performance and a good team... (& I know t...

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

bit short on specifics - if the academy is going to lose a net of £2.5-£3M this year and Bearwood has a bigger deficit attached to it (bigger than £3M a year???) - what are the plans for new revenue streams? The Academy and Bearwood costs will mostly be staff. I think deficits are to be expected in...

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

Having read the transcript. Rob is a bit tight-doesn't want to spend money on signing players. I'm not sure that he appreciates that we got lucky with frees for Wing, Pereira, Knibbs and Smith as this season's newbies don't look to be in the same class and rabbits can't always be pulled from the ha...

Mid Sussex Royal Neither O'Connor or Yiadom are available on Sat but both have been out on the grass again.

Nothing I heard about re potential Burns Injury.

Have they tried vaping instead?....

Re: Rumour - Gareth Ainsworth

Mike Dodds (current Wycombe manager) rumoured to be close to the sack. Not saying we appoint him to replace Hunt but reading some of the comments on Twitter he sounds a better coach than manager so a jobs-for-the-boys backroom staff appointment? Also, Brogue mentions Warnock then within the hour he...

Re: Hunt out.

I'm not sure I care enough if Hunt stays or goes but I will say, if they replace him now, especially with Ainsworth then the last 4 months has been a masterful display of wasting time by the new owners. It would almost need to be applauded. Surely that prize goes to the new US owners of Sheffield U...

Re: Hunt in

Ruben gave up on his tactical vision in order to get results. He adopted a formation and plan that suited the players we had at the time. Noel, has coached the under 21s to play in the same way. The problem is that he doesn’t have the players to play a high line press with inverted forwards coupled...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

Was always going to take time for a largely completely new squad to gel, especially as the majority came towards the end of the window. Thought we were weak at the corner for the first, Williams being left to mark two players and were caught ball watching for the second. Marriott looks good up to u...

Re: Ex Royals

It`s being reported this morning that Selles is about to be relieved of his duties. Interesting article on BBC Sport site where their EFL pundit closes with: "Five games in, it's still salvageable. Seven, eight, nine, 10 games in, it's not, so I expect there to be a change in the near future.&...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

Getting really fed up with the bedwetting whiners on here. As Mick and Tim said in BBCRB before the match we lost most of our best players in January and June and the replacements are not as good. We have played a likely top 6 side away today and run them close. Give Hunt a chance to build a team. ...

Latest sound bite from Noel now makes it sound like we weren't looking at free agents over the IB. https://x.com/RFCLatest/status/1966451333940093239?t=OJvqFPp--Enksd3xJFqbcw&s=19 Before the IB the Club were planning to get on the phone on the Wednesday and Thursday to the free agents to see wh...

Re: Membership

Thinking perhaps there’s other ways of doing this sort of thing. Norwich, for example, get their casual fans to pay £25 to annually register for home and/or away “clubs” which entitles fans in each club to buy tickets for home/away games based on how regularly that fan has attended home/away games ...

Couhig is chairman and CEO and JJ is co-CEO.
