Re: confimred - Finley Burns

Greatwesternline 22 years old. Burns hasn't scored a goal in 63 appearance.

How is this loan signing better than Wareham or WiFi or Bodin?

Couhig out!

Re: Josh bowler

Looking at our current squad, we are lacking an out and out winger, so hopefully we are properly in for Bowler

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Potential First XI

GK: Pereira

RB: Abrefa or Yiadom
CB: Burns, Dorsett or Stickland
CB: O'Connor
LB: Jacob

RW: Knibbs (?)
CM: Savage
CM: Wing
CM: Elliott
LW: Garcia or Ehibhatiomhan?

CF: O'Mahoney

That feels stronger than the second half of last year tbh

Re: confimred - Finley Burns

2 oxf*rd units in defence. Interesting change from pace and ball playing we had last year. Hope Savage and Wing are working on their corner delivery!

Re: Rumour- Mark O'Mahony

Crusader Royal Do we have any other Irish players on the books ? There was a young guy with an Irish accent with the team on Saturday….and it definitely wasn’t Hunt !

Re: Rumour- Mark O'Mahony

A lot of kids getting very excited about this on twatter. But is he actually any good? He is very young and seems unproven. Hope he can be the spearhead of L1 attack but seems a bit of an unknown at this stage...

Musk would not be positive news!

Watching that clip, it sounds positive. Investors but not going to suddenly start breaking the bank. That's the right way imo

Re: Ex Royals

And people wonder why there are pretty much no openly gay footballers.

I am not saying Bindon is or isn't, I have no idea obviously and frankly it doesn't matter. But the reaction demonstrates why gay pros feel they have to stay in the closet. Sad

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

Rob has confirmed in his latest interview posted this morning that we have another new investor coming onboard in the next week, who is in addition to Aliya. Elon Musk  It all sounds sensible too and he mentions a succession plan in case something happens to him. Possibly, the death of his bro...

Royalwaster
MouldyRoyal Yeah there's a fair amountnof flexibility obviously. But it really highlights where the holes are CB and forwards.

Dorsett is a CB though, no?

I remembered him more as a LB but that may simply be as a result of not having any so him having to play there.

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Rearranged Sutekh's post to group by position (as to me that is more important): Goal Keepers: Joel PEREIRA (31) Jack STEVENS (29) Tom NORCOTT (20) Matthew ROWLEY (20) Right Back: Kelvin ABREFA (20) Andy YIADOM (34) Tivonge RUSHESHA (23) Emmanuel OSHO (19) Boyd BEACROFT (20) Centre Back: Paudie O’CO...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

AthleticoSpizz If he’s ‘not good enough’ to be a regular starter here for us, that doesn’t bode well for the team that will be starting him regularly.

Do you think Reading and Exeter have equal expectations of what their season could be?

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

I am definitely glass half full but it’s hard to make the case that Wareham would go to Exeter unless they are paying him more or offering a longer term contract. Him and Craig would be big losses. I suspect they have offered him a wage that is higher because they see him as a starting forward and ...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

I think the other thing I would point out is that the new administration have a problem that we haven't seen in 20 odd years, i.e. having so few people in contract at the end of the season. Obviously this is simply the hand they have been dealt by the previous regime, but I suspect the proportion of...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Like others, not sure losing Wareham or Wifi is the loss some are making it out to be. If they want to go be first team regulars and we see them as squad players, then it suggests we are setting our sights above them some what. Which is probably right given we struggled for goals from forwards post ...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

So what's happened here? Was expecting the H&P themed kit to be revealed by now. Last minute revisions ordered by the new owners or just usual Reading revealing it late?
