You don’t need to spend money on transfers in L1 to build a competitive team

Re: Rob Couhig - New Interview

I don’t mind going into bat in defence of our Tim He is probably the entire Venn diagram of sports journalists with commentary experience who are also lifelong Reading fans Would you rather a Jamie Theakston type Heart Radio focus group approved presenter from out of town? Because that is what you w...

Re: Rob Couhig - New Interview

Now those “legal technicalities” make a lot more sense Completion meant: Redwood Stadium had to purchase the SCL from Prestige Fortune Asia, a deal requiring specialist counsel in its own right (BVI domiciled company) Redwood Investments had to purchase c. £200m worth of debt from Renhe Sports Manag...

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

Worth noting that Narin the Thai is out - he was only here for the car park! There's some convoluted scheme whereby the car park is shared between four different companies and RFC, in Dai's time, had a share (c25%) of one of the companies. Reading Asia Holdings, Great Shine etc ...? Redwood has sai...

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

Interested to learn more about how the new ownership is structured in the coming weeks

Which legal entity now owns the stadium and training ground?

Will Dai’s charges over RFC Ltd via Rehne be cleared

Who other than RC and TT are shareholders in Dogwood LLC if anyone? What % do RC and TT own?

Never understood the point of C1871. You could have achieved the same thing by putting a drum in Y26. Instead the club incurred significant cost to A) relocate away fans B) reduce away allocation.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (h)

Derby had 27,000 home fans for their Friday night game. Just a side note. That was one of the worst performances I can remember for a long long time. It was dire and shockingly poor. Blackpool were better than I expected tbf. 0-3 loss is kind for Reading, on another day it could have been double th...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

I don't get the naysayers. If the punishment is going to be as bad for the club/Dai as you're all saying, then he would be well advised to dispose of it as quickly as possible to avoid a repeat, which is exactly what we want...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

Reading that submission, there is no way the EFL can disqualify Dai after the breach of the order, as the Wigan owners breached it twice and weren't even threatened with disqualification, and there are no precedents for the EFL to shut a club down (regardless of the more wild interpretations expres...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

Independent commission rejected the EFL sanctions on the grounds they were not proportionate and wouldn’t even permit a suspended disqualification.

You've got to think this position changes if games start getting abandoned, bringing the league into disrepute. It's worth a try

Re: Potential New Owners

Dai might want to retain a controlling stake but who in their right mind would look at how he has managed the club in the last 5 years and think, yeah, I trust this regime to get me a return on my investment as a minority shareholder. Only grifters/parasites would be interested in that arrangement, ...
