Re: Play-off/relegation watch.

8th-12th - the perfect platform for all of our better players to find moves to teams in the lower half of the Championship / newly relegated to L1 with a few quid to spend / existing L1 teams who just missed out on promotion. There is rarely such a thing as linear progression.

Re: ArsenaLOL

Thoroughly enjoyed the game (which is rare for me watching Prem games these days). As i'm a miserable human being who only see the worst in things/people - i thought Ben White (and Madueke when he came on...) were both really short of quality when it came to the final ball or just giving the ball aw...

Re: The Non - League thread

Eastleigh 1 Aldershot 4. Low quality game but featuring 3 former RFC players for the Shots. Boyce-Clarke in goal, his handling was quite tidy. He didn’t have a great deal to do although he charged out of his area unnecessarily allowing Blair to equalise. James Henry was anonymous and was substitute...

Re: The Non - League thread

Suffered through the Eastleigh v Southport rearranged FA Trophy fixture last night, which Southport rightfully won 2-0. Fair play to the 14 away fans who made the journey twice in the space of 4 days. They were in good spirits. On Saturday, having only found out about the postponement 400 metres fro...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

I don't really have a dog in this fight, and totally accept that they haven't been good enough overall...but.... On the occasions i've seen them this season (mostly highlights and MOTD, admittedly...) - they've often been all over teams in the first period - hitting the bar / post / going close etc ...

Re: Ex Royals

Jake Taylor leaves National League side Eastleigh after two and a half years (some of which as club captain), to join Sutton Utd (2nd from bottom in the same division):

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Should have spent some of the Isak money strengthening the rest of the squad and waited til next year to pick him up on the cheap (if Ekitke turns out to not be able to lead the line - which at the moment he certainly does...). Agree that Wirtz should/will/might come good, but arguably poor recruitm...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Wolves set to hire Gary O'Neil as their new boss, 11 months after sacking him. :D I know we all LOLZ about it being a "Merry-go-Round" as the thread title suggests - but it really has become an utter joke in the last few years. Nuno, Postecoglu, Potter, O'Neill, Dyche etc. "The next ...

How much are we talking? What's your regular disposable?

Will you be able to fund the signing of the East Berkshire Premier League equivalent of Pavel Pogrebnyak?

Snowflake Royal The guy is a deluded incompetent.

Nice sig, etc.

I used to think there was a decent coach hidden somewhere inside him. He sort of looks the part.

I don't think that any more.

Re: Eastleigh away - FA Cup round two

Eastleigh are my local side having moved down from Basingstoke to Chandler's Ford a couple of years ago. I've been to the Silverlake a few times and have a couple of mates who go regularly. One of my lads' mates plays for them. Jake Taylor has been bang-average for them since he came here this seaso...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (h)

It was like his entire career was judged on a dozen poor games for wba rather than the other 300 games he’s played in his career Players who start to decline towards the end of their career do tend to keep going that way. Not always true with goalkeepers - who often have a second-wind later on in t...

And if Micky G says 'Listen' one more time at the start of his sentences.....some of us are listening Mick. And you've been watching and 'listening' to too many Keano interviews mate. Absolutely cannot stand that. The passive-aggressive "listen" at the start of each sentence. If you were ...

Re: Ex Players

Also in double-checking my stats I found out that Baker's dad Audley was a professional powerlifter. Axel and Jokull's father Andres Gudmundsson was a strongman. Weird to have had two unrelated players in quick succession whose father's job was performatively lifting heavy objects. Three - Paul Inc...

He was arguably the best technical player the club's ever had. Matejovsky's biggest problems here were the players around him weren't on the same wavelength and I don't think he really worked in a two-man midfield. Like buggery was he. Gylfi is a far superior player and technician . Ejaria is techn...
