Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Looks like Nuno could be on his way out at Forest. That could turn rather ugly, rather quickly as Marinakis will not like the reaction he will presumably get from the fans if it does come to pass. Why? Was a 3-1 win not considered good enough or is it just because it’s Marinakis? BBC In a news conf...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a)

I didn't think we were that bad first half....  O'Mahony... No doubt elsewhere in this division, with proper service, he'd be a 15+ goal a seasons striker. Hell, up front for Bolton last night he might have got a hattrick with the chances they could have laid on for him. :sho...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a)

I did a quick edit there!

(He’s better in the defensive half than attack.)

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a)

Brogue MoM has touched the ball 53 times in 5 matches so far :|

And I honestly doubt a Reading player has received the ball after any of those 53 touches in the attacking half.

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

United fan decided last October not to cut his hair until his club won five games in a row. They've not even got to four. He's now got the most magnificent barnet. https://x.com/FBAwayDays/status/1957542045381169264 Nothing new though, Fellani started something similar when he joined Utd. https://i...

Re: Weekend Football

I thought Man Utd looked very promising. Best I’ve seen them play for a long time.

As you say, they simply HAVE to get a GK.

Re: Weekend Football

Man City looked very different yesterday.

Far more direct, far more exciting to watch.

The Ljinders effect?

Although I'd love to see Ahmed get a chance, Abrefa has been our best player, no way he loses his place.

Re: The Non - League thread

Windsor & Eton FC hoping to go 3g in the near future. That was always one of the absolute top priorities of the club. I assumed it was going to happen at the end of the 1st season but now into the 3rd season.... It's a bloody shame really but I'm sure the additional revenue streams will be cruc...

Re: England - the future....

Rio Ngumoha is something else, could make Lamine Yamal look like Royston Drenthe. But of course it’s England so bound to rarely get a game. Haven't seen him myself but Arsenal's 15 yo Max Dowman is also being mentioned by ex-pros in the same breath as Yamal. 2 generational talents coming through at...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (a)

Fine with that. :| Supposedly going to lose 4-0 according to the experts on here and controlled much of the game with most of the possession. Not got our forward line set up yet and there's limited understanding, but we still hit the post twice, had a goal disallowed and a penalty turned down...

Re: The Non - League thread

Windsor FC have withdrawn from the Combined Counties League Div 1 for the 2025/6 season. Do we know why, is it just a lack of funds? .....make of this what you will but they've stated it's: to "focus their efforts and resources on an ambitious new ground development project ". Somewhat 'o...

Re: Womens euros 2025

Brilliant stuff. Very good game. Spain technically superior but to coin that daft cliche, this England team never knows when they are beaten. Surprised / concerned that Carter started but she was very solid. And Leah Williamson again showed so much class and composure. Hampton had another very good ...

Re: Womens euros 2025

Would you guys agree with me that the next area of big development will be in the strikers, which across the board seems to me to be a relatively weak area? I know there are some who put in consistently decent numbers, but there's nobody who really looks really top class in the way that AKB, Bonmati...

Re: Womens euros 2025

Bit of a shame for the otherwise outstanding AKB that her error (if it can be called that when it was really a piece of brilliance by Bonmati) cost Germany last night but the general standard of goalkeeping in this tournament has been excellent. I predicted that would happen a few years ago, now I s...
