Re: MATCHWATCH : AFC Wimbledon (h)

Ffs why is this game 7pm. Anyone know? Agree it’s ludicrous and will kill the attendance. Whereas no-one cares about Trophy games very much, so it doesn’t really matter, the League Cup being belittled in the same way is stupid even if it has become a minor competition now. 7.45pm is fine if they wa...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a)

Things I don't want to see at Bolton: 1) Wing playing just in front of the back 4. He is wasted there. 2) Defensive midfielders playing in attacking positions 3) Significant amounts of long balls 4) Michael Stickland 5) Matty Jacob 6) Garcia on the left wing 7) An over-reliance on Wing. We always s...

Re: Nathan Ferguson

Which is not remotely tall for his position. And he tends to play hunched over a bit... though more so last season than this. Keith McPherson, Mbengue and even Williams all only 5' 11! Which is short for their position, at least now. So are you saying that Stickland isn't tall enough for his positi...

Re: Nathan Ferguson

I’m not too sure what Stickland really offers. He’s ok all round but not esp big, quick, strong or good on the ball. As he’s not going to get much quicker or taller then he needs to work a lot on his ability on the ball imo He is 6ft 1in you know Which is not remotely tall for his position. And he ...

Surprised there's much interest in this apart from the Reading 'yooth'. Tin pot cup and all of that.

The Wagstaff brothers, Steve Hetzke, Gordon Cumming, Stuart Beavon, the list could go on.

Plus I'd include Mick Gooding, Maurice Evans and Eamon Dolan.

I'm afraid Maurice Evans, IMO, lost legendary status for me when he sat on the fence during the Oxford merger fiasco.

Bit harsh on Mo, especially as eye brows could've been his potential boss.

Exactly

Re: Club legend.

Noel is nowhere near legendary status. Legendary status means that your legacy stands up against and then beyond others. On the playing side of things, names such as Ronnie Blackman were spoken about by my Father, who scored 158 goals in 218 games for Reading. In more modern terms, players such as ...

Re: CB from the MLS - Derrick Williams

Myself and Brogue don't just throw out names here on a whim. Our trust has been hard-earned with club insiders. If we say it's Derrick Williams then it's Derrick Williams. And if any deal breaks down or doesn't get announced then it's usually due to last-minute goalpost-shifting by the player/agent...

So far you've confirmed Cole, Bowler, Ritchie amongst others, personally I think you're full of shit, could be wrong but let's see

Re: BFTG - Huddersfield

Having lost the prime centre back pairing as well aa all the goals in the team it’s hardly surprising there is currently a big disconnect in the team at the moment. Plenty of recruitment and bedding in is still required. Could do without what will be the largely pointless league cup trip coming up ...

Was expecting to see some improvements around the place, apart from the soap dispensers I used had soap in them, didn't notice anything different from last season

Re: New bar

Was only a light hearted comment, I was told the main ticket office was turned into a bar, didn't realise it was the one in the East stand.
Guess we will find out tomorrow plus any improvements that have been made around the place.
