Re: Ashqar Ahmed

Had a great game where everything fell for him. It’s good to know it’s in the locker but he’s been found out since. Breda should be sharing time with Yiadom and Ahmed should be cover when one is injured. Big lad but too easily dominated. Seemingly terrified to take his man on. Decent defensively bu...

Re: Which team have we had the most memorable matches against?

Sheffield United for me. The matches between 2002-2007 were box office stuff. Our record against them matches our wider fortunes. When we were good, we beat them all the time. Then in 2017, after a few seasons apart, they started beating us consistently and we've been shit ever since. Smashed them ...

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

Don’t know if it’s true but overheard someone at the Mansfield game talk about how they had seen O’Connor the week before outside a ground and he had told them that in coming back from his initial calf injury he had tweaked the other one.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Mansfield Town (h)

I think Lane has a spark but is played too high and central, and has no faith in the headless chicken that is Jacob running around behind him. Ahmed won’t take anyone on which is frustrating. Burns has his balls-up but was so busy distributing, he’a getting better. Savage had flashes of his old self...

Re: What was the last player that you were gutted that left/sold

I perhaps get a bit overly attached to good goalkeepers. Most of my ‘gutted they’re leaving’ moments have been over them.

Hahnemann, Federici, McCarthy, so the last one that was a real a gut wrench was Ali Al-Habsi. Helps he was an affable chap too.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leyton Orient (h)

Hound . I just see him a useful sub for 20 mins to cause a bit of havoc

I’d imagine something like this is the plan once Ritchie is up to full match fitness.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leyton Orient (h)

Sounds like Orient comfortably the better team before the goal, but games ebb and flow. Need to build upon this now and put in a strong performance. Maybe with a win and confidence, we won't start every game like rabbits in headlights and need Pereira's fake injury timeout. Again, I certainly would...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leyton Orient (h)

Bit rough for Wellens to get a yellow and Ahmed not. Not arguing, but I’d not be happy if I were an O’s fan.
