Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Craig was a big success in the midfield role in 23-24 and, while we needed him elsewhere last season, I think we really missed his presence and grit in the middle at times. The starting midfield last season was often very lightweight. Also, if Wing gets injured, I don't know plays DM for us now. Pr...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

JJ said in his first interview with the club that we wouldn't be able to keep all the players we've offered contracts to, so it probably won't come as a surprise to the hierarchy. Can't really judge how big a loss these players are until the transfer window shuts. Probably wise to keep the powder dr...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Really like it - was prepared for something much worse. Although would say it would be much better with white shorts and white socks. Think it needs the contrast with the strong blue, would have looked washed out if it was white socks and shorts Could have included the pattern on the white flashes ...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Not one for me (but the 7yo will probably still require all three kits). I reckon, had they had normal bold hoops, but had that pattern as a jacquard weave, it would have looked ace. II preferred the mock-up with the paisley effect posted up above. Perhaps next season they'll throw the kit design o...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Is their a record somewhere that shows what Reading’s away kits have been down the years? Try this site: https://www.footballkitarchive.com/reading-kits/#1980s There's a bunch of ads, unfortunately, but has a good record of kits back to the 77/78 season. We've had our fair share of belters and abso...

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

He certainly talks a good game, comes across as very likeable. Hopefully it works out and he leaves us in a far better position than he found us in.

Expectations are growing.

Re: Jamie Gittens to Arsenal - are we entitled to compensation?

He spent 5 years with us and left for City when he was 14. So we were certainly involved in his formative years and have played a big part in his development. He did spend a bit of time in the Chelsea set-up too, but was also at Reading prior to that.

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

needed to get in before someone shuts this down. But are we basically saying that the 90mill is just a bubble that never bursts? been reading all of the comments made by the knowledgeable ones here, but still can't get my head around it. Someone sent the this the other day, which helped me get my h...

Re: Ex Royals

Sam Hutchinson has heart attack and then scores goal! AFC Wimbledon midfielder Sam Hutchinson played a full 90 minutes and scored the winning goal in a crucial League Two match, despite suffering a heart attack just six minutes into the game. The 35-year-old veteran, whose career began at C...

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

If its owed to Dai, the debt is gone. Couhig bought the club for £xm. That's all Dai is getting back. So why does the debt still exist. If Dai was owed 90 mill. And that debt was on the club. And couhig has just bought the club for 25 million. And dai is getting nothing more. Why does the club owe ...

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

Yes, that is fact. In Couhig's most recent interview, he said that he is close to concluding deals with local creditors to clear as much debt as possible. He mentioned 90p in the £, IIRC, and said that everything should be clear on that front by beginning of June - I think that includes the car par...

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

Is that confirmed? None of the tens of millions of debts accrued by the previous regime are owned to external/third parties... It's all been picked up by the new owners and is owed to them - so is only an issue when they come to sell - but they control what they do with it? Just so I am clear what ...

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

The current debt is owed to Rob and Todd. The new owners are resolving any currently working through the outstanding “issues” with various 3rd parties (eg. Paying up the car parking schemes, buses etc.) so guess that’s the sort of stuff that’ll sit on the books until the club gets sold on again. Is...

Re: Season ticket prices 25/26

For reference, Wrexham put their ticket prices up when they were bought and have done consistently, albeit in small increments since. And they've got all the other revenue streams that we don't have to fall back on.

Re: Season ticket prices 25/26

I think there has to be a rise in the prices. Hopefully only small, but Sutekh's suggestion sounds about right. A friend of mine thinks ticket prices should be reduced to encourage a full stadium, but we all know it's the football on offer and ultimately results that attracts people to watch games.

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

Apparently Couhig is on BA224 flight from New Orleans to Heathrow later. Anyone fancy being the new bush watch person tomorrow? :? Is there actually any reason for him to be flying in - this just feels like a Twitter rumour to me. If the deal is done bar signatures, it will be with the lawyers and ...
