Re: Weekend Football

Royal Rother
genome Proper vintage Premier League in this Newcastle-Leeds match

Mad end to the game - great stuff.

Great game, two sides just going at it end to end, throwing crosses into the box, not just endless passing across the back 4

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Ryan Mason sacked by WBA. Watched the last 30 minutes of the Leicester WBA game last night. Albion dominated it, just couldn't score, and should have won the game. Then Leicester go up the other end in injury time, score a worldy and win it having offered nothing for much of what I watched. Ten away...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Peterborough United (h)

I've come to the conclusion that most football managers are stubborn thick cnuts who can't think for themselves and dogmatically copy the current trends. The ones not like this are the ones who have a chance of actually being good at their jobs. Brian was there last night from the pictures the club...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Peterborough United (h)

First game of the season for, and what a joyous trip down from Brum it was... Echo most of what's been posted here already. 1. The passing between JP and the two centre backs. Why so much? 1a). Why do we need two centre backs inside our 18 yard box for every goal kick, especially when one of them st...

Re: Record Watch 25/26

Maybe one for General Football, but do you think Derby fans have a similar thread on their forum which they're excitedly updating right now? I would imagine so! :D Wolves do look incredibly poor; they have the smell of a team already relegated and frankly, the only reason I can fathom for Rob Edwar...

One from the TNT sports Twitter feed this morning.

For the first time in over two years, Erling Haaland has been flagged offside in a Premier League away match

Re: Weekend Football

Royal Rother Blimey, now that was a game!

Fulham 4-5 Man City

Watched the second half. Great fightback from Fulham to get back from 1-5 down. Very unlucky not to nick a draw at the end with the one cleared off the line too

Re: Football Stadia - Past, Present & Future

Is this April 1st? What a fukkin eyesore, Battersea Power Station at least served a purpose +1 Are Brum moving elsewhere in Birmingham or to create this thing or just redeveloping Standrews? It's basically the other side of (ie inside) the ring road from where St Andrews is now. Probably easier to ...

Re: World Cup 2026

Watched the Scotland game from about 75 mins onwards. Fantastic end to the game, very pleased for them. Seemed to be one of those nights where you just have a feeling (as a neutral at least) that something would break for them and they'd do it. Incredible scenes, and some top quality goals too

Silver Fox 8 more teams added in, that's 42, which seems like a lot

42 + 4 x Euro playoffs = 46

Do we know what the permutations are for the last two spaces?

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Even given the emotional pull he has for Wolves its an odd move for Edwards, Felt like Middlesbrough was a chance for him to reverse the downward trend his managerial career was taking. He was doing a good job and on track for getting into the playoff which would be seen as a successful season for ...

Spent the first minute or so putting in common names (Smith, Jones etc) and got to almost 100. https://i.imgflip.com/1rpjs5.jpg?a489528 Williams would bag you a decent handful as well. yes, that was one of the more common names. Reading are a has-been club, on the way down. We are on the up even though we lost tonight. Two and a half weeks to get these two, recent, poor results out of our system. Then we go again...not the end of the world. More lessons to be learnt by everyone and we'll come out fighting again. COYB :D A ...

2010s - yeah, nothing - always in at Round 3 and when you get United three times ... long 2000s - i.e. from 1998 2001-02 November (H) vs Welling 1-0 twenty year gap. NGL, don't remember this, and it sounds dreadful. 2000-01 November (H) vs Grays Athletic 4-0 efficiently done 1999-2000 November (H) ...

Re: Players at Reading who you had completely forgotten about

stealthpapes Saw Chris Armstrong mentioned.

Player of Season 08-09 and revealed, after retiring, he'd been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in that season.

Fondly remembered here.

Yep, Armstrong was class that season. Very sad end to his career.
