Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (h)

Would have loved to finish with a win. Still, the takeover news makes it a great day for the Royals. Just so, but if we can see some signings over the next couple of weeks to secure a good base for next season, it'll be fine. A lot to be happy (or at least relieved) about despite this outcome. Edit...

Huddersfield 1-3 Leyton Orient. Orient's second goal was an own-goal credited against the Huddersfield keeper.

Re: Rival Watch

windermereROYAL WTF is it about Wrexham and injury time winners?

Regarding injury time winners, Bolton jumped ahead of Reading today with a 4-3 win over Crawley Town thanks to a 90'+9 minute own-goal by Crawley Town on a total of 13 minutes added time.

BRO_BOT
Snowflake Royal We really should have a few shots from half way.

I'd also suggest the Reading players pass the ball to a team member

Radical idea there . . .

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol Rovers (h)

Nice to sit in the playoff zone at any point of the season but much nicer to be there with 1/4 of the games remaining (better yet with none left!) than with only 1/4 done. Still, better to be near the lead in the marathon than at the back of the pack. Now if there was only nice solid chap to be a bu...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Charlton Athletic (h)

BBC Stats indicate a match that Reading is taking the initiative but showing woeful finishing - 7 shots taken, 2 blocked and 5 off target. Charlton show to have forced one save on their one shot on target, with one blocked and 2 off target of their 4 tries. Reading with 2/3 possession and 4 corners ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (h)

JR Anyone able to explain who scored the goal? Looked all the world like Bindon headed it in, but announcer said Knibbs and so did Sky Bet……which would be a shame as had Tyler at 25/1

I think you're in funds - BBC has it Bindon.

Re: Rival Watch

I am concerned but not too worried about what happens on the pitch as I believe the players and the gaffer will get a few points yet. I am more concerned about Stupid Owner Tricks and point deductions Dai may 'earn' Reading FC. The next late payment to HMRC will almost certainly be a 6 point deducti...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (h) sponsored by Craig Maskell

Saturday - in 90 minutes away, Reading had 16 shots, with 10 on target and 5 goals. Today, it's 7 shots, with one on target for no goals in 60 minutes at home. Is Huddersfield that much better than Luton Town (4 points as it stands)?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (h) sponsored by Craig Maskell

Maybe it's just me, but I feel Reading at home play not to lose, planning for a late goal and a 1-0 win while on the road they try to bring the game to their opponents. IMO, not a valid home plan, and it has cost them this season... and well may again tonight.

By Adam Goodwin - Last Updated: 25/05/20 11:08pm "Reading have informed Loader they have withdrawn an offer of a new long-term deal, citing the unprecedented situation the club faces due to the coronavirus pandemic." He wasn't likely to sign it anyway. Sad to see him go and wish him good l...
