Re: How best to approach the rest of the season

We all sit here saying mid table is great, and after everything that has gone on at the club then mid table really should be looked at as being great, but in truth mid table is the most boring place to be especially as the season progresses!! You go/watch the games and you can tell we're mid table!!...

Re: The window closes at 7pm on Monday 2nd February

I still find it hard to believe that a midfield of Wing, Savage and Doyle is struggling to create chances for our forwards in this league. Against Exeter in the first half for example, our possession rate was far superior than theirs which you would expect at home and with the technical skills of Wi...

Re: Rumour - Ronan Hale (striker)

Maybe another forward isn't so far fetched! he prefers a 3-5-2 formation or so we're told and has used it in the past with a fair amount of success. He's just strengthened our FB's allowing Dorsett to move back as cover for the back three. Having two starting forwards means probably 4 forwards on t...

Re: a RB and a LB signings imminent

I don't think Brogue has a contact in the club. I reckon he is "The spy from inside.........." Funnily enough i was thinking the same thing :D Brogue pulled off an amazing piece of work with "Huang Kad" absolute genius and had pretty much all of us fooled. Who's to say he's not ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leyton Orient (a)

Sometimes you just have to give credit where credits due! Orient did their homework and were by far the better of the two teams. They pressed high which caused chaos with pereira and the back four, they hurried us all around the pitch and they played simple good football!! finally, they had a strike...

Re: Charlie Savage to Oxford

1.5 Million would be a fair price! we get to keep half which is good money for our current division. Don't get me wrong, i would prefer to keep him and i do think that things are slowly moving in the right direction and the play-offs are within our reach if we continue this momentum. So the big ques...

Re: Savage in the hole

Doyle is on a season long loan and Savage is ours for now so maybe looking to the future especially as Fraser is also ours and possibly a better fit alongside Wing in that double pivot as they call it. Fraser will offer much better protection to the back four being a natural CDM and even though i w...

Re: Rumour: Tom Pearce

Was going to suggest that he's probably from up North having played for Leeds and Wigan! which sometimes has a bearing on preferred destinations. Then read that he has worked under Leam Richardson previously and i guess that now levels the playing field! can see this one happening :D

Re: MATCHWATCH : Burton Albion (h)

Last time at this level, we had a really "meh" first season, followed by a dreadful start to the second which resulted in Pardew replacing Burns and an improvement. Then we were strong 3rd season and just missed out, but didn't sell anyone and strengthened again so we were formidable in t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Burton Albion (h)

I forgot to mention Daniel.K, the guy is super fun to watch and probably our most fun player since Jimmy Kebe and Gilksy!! However, please. please ,please someone give him some shooting practice.....not from 15 or 20 yards but from 3 yards out with an open net!!!! How many sitters has this guy naile...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Burton Albion (h)

I enjoyed that! We controlled the game much better and our passing was more accurate and maybe at more pace than recently. Burton are no mugs and you can see why are middle of the table and no longer bottom feeders. Finally, a big shout out to Fraser who i thought had an excellent game and his passi...

Stood under the clock with my dad great game Yep, also went to this one with my dad (Sadly passed on now) and we always mentioned this as our best game ever at Elm Park, however, it probably was the worst 65 minutes followed by the best 25 minutes!!! :D With regards to scenes and limbs it was proba...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Peterborough United (a)

Not sure it will be same line up, both Williams's went off injured today. Yids didn't look right either, he also was replaced. Keen to see how Burns does in a more settled side. He's talented enough to do well for us. Agreed, he had a few mistakes in him early on however, that was probably down to ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a)

The sending off changed everything and clearly rattled Plymouth for 10 mins and credit to us for taking advantage of that! Plymouth showed they are a decent side and with 11players we would have struggled. A win is a win and my only gripe with today was that we really should have had at least 6 goal...

I've never heard of a Scotsman's surname with one of those silly little squiggles over his surname? Surly his name should be Ryan McOne :D Whatever his name, it's a no for me, to similar to the MoM signing. I would like us to follow up on that guy from Ross County up in Scotland as he has a proven g...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bradford City (a)

The annoying and worrying thing for me is we sack Hunt and probably rightly so, form wasn't great, the style was boring and the fans were turning. We get a new manager in who knows this league and has a good pedigree in this league yet a month in and we are playing no different than when Hunty was i...

Re: Rival Watch

Blackpool's win at Rotherham last night means that the 3 sides in the bottom 4 who played midweek all won. This means there is just 6 points between 10th & 23rd. Feels like this will be a 50+ points needed this season and we are certainly not too good to go down; we've been relegated from this ...
