Re: MATCHWATCH : AFC Wimbledon (h)

If the problem with playing Wing further up is he gets marked out of the game, can't we just start him further forward and if he gets marked out of the game, he can drop back into that quarterback role and have someone like Savage or Fraser push further forward? So you play Fraser back, and Wing an...

Re: MATCHWATCH : AFC Wimbledon (h)

Presume Rushesha will be back too, unless he's injured again  You have to wonder about Hunty though. Play a DM or two in the middle v Portsmouth and things click a little easier. Yet in the league he's piddling about sticking Wing in front of the back 4 and the side has generally struggled. W...

Re: Speculationish Tyler Robert’s and Jack Marriott

At this point, I don’t really care how good they are, as long as they're affordable and mean we can field a substitute striker or replace MOM if he gets injured/needs a break or plays shit for a prolonged run.

Can you harry defenders? Yep, tick, you're good enough.

Re: Fixtures 2025/26

Multiple players have been informed they are either being called up or on standby. Dorsett, Savage, Fraser. O'Mahoney, Elliot, Garcia, Camara have all featured for countries prior at various youth groups or senior teams. Well, certainly if its that lot we aren't playing. Just Dorsett, Fraser and Ga...

Re: MATCHWATCH : AFC Wimbledon (h)

Given the three games in 8 days and the number of injuries, I assume we'd all agree a rotation is in order here? Cup run would be lovely, but we need to get motoring a bit in the league and protect the squad for that. ....................Stevens Ahmed, Stickland, Dorsett, Ryan ....................S...

Re: Nathan Ferguson

I notice that Ahmed is not mentioned in the talk about centre backs. Looks like a potential Mbengue replacement to me and I believe he thinks of himself as a centre back playing right back. Maybe a little early but like to see him play there in one of the cup games. Seems unlikely seeing as his pla...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

Out-muscling is one thing but a 2 hands shove in the back of a ‘keeper would always be given as a foul surely? Was talking to a ref on Friday, apparently it's a thing not to peanlise shoves. You see it plain as day with no fk up and down the leagues every week. They were saying in the commentary ye...

Re: Fixtures 2025/26

Heard at the weekend Northampton a week Saturday is 99% likely to be off because of the international break. I don’t know about Northampton's internationals, but with ours, I reckon we'll look quite closely at who is away and how we perform vs Vale before deciding whether we want it moved. Play wel...

Re: MATCHWATCH : AFC Wimbledon (h)

I`m wondering if their number 3 Steve Seddon has recovered from the horrific head injury from last week to take part tomorrow? The sports science psychology team will evaluate on the day. Hopefully the return to the scene of the incident can be part of his healing process as he looks to rebuild his...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Don’t disagree but there have been lots of very good CB pairs that aren’t especially quick. It’s as much about reading the game (not Mbengues strong point) Maybe Williams can bring that. Gorkss and Pearce… a championship winning CB partnership and Pearce had the turning circle of the titanic. Was g...

Re: MATCHWATCH : AFC Wimbledon (h)

Ffs why is this game 7pm. Anyone know? Agree it’s ludicrous and will kill the attendance. Whereas no-one cares about Trophy games very much, so it doesn’t really matter, the League Cup being belittled in the same way is stupid even if it has become a minor competition now. 7.45pm is fine if they wa...

Re: Hunt out.

Ahmed's started 3 games, it's rather premature to expect him to be sold for big money. Unless you want to do an SCR flounce. We'd still have most of a decent spine with Pereira, O'Connor, Williams, Fraser, Wing Were you excited by Abrefa or Ahmed signing new deals a few months ago? And your touting...

Re: Hunt out.

May just be an impression but it feels like the teams change a lot more season by season in L1 It’s why I don’t really take the ‘new team needs time to bed in’ as much of an excuse. That seems to be every team in this league to me. And whilst I like the idea of building for next year - Elliott will...
