Re: Hunt out.

What is a realistic target for this season? If it's simply not to get relegated then we can hang on to Hunt for a while yet. If it is promotion or at least play-offs then has that ship already sailed, regardless of manager? Either way, I don't expect Couhig to let Hunt go any time soon

Re: Hunt out.

I wonder if, like the summer striker hunt, we'll dilly and dally too long and any "decent" managers that are currently available will be snapped up before we have a chance to approach them? Also, who out of our highly experienced recruitment team (Couhig, Joe Johnson) will select the new m...

Re: Hunt out.

In the Couhig Q&A he mentioned metrics, specifically to Noel keeping the manager's job when the take over completed You expect Rob would have other in-season metrics for Noel to meet I'd guess 2 League wins from 11 and in the Relegation places wouldn't meet expectations nor will it entice fans t...

Re: Striker STILL urgently required - can we wait until January?

Is that latter part the case, even if their contract has been cancelled? I would've thought that might cause the authorities legal difficulties in respect of potential restraint of trade - they're effectively temporarily restricting someone from earning a living in their profession. I was told this...

Re: Striker STILL urgently required - can we wait until January?

The loan window is shut. We can only sign then play free agents who were available in the summer window - anyone released since would not be allowed to play til January. Is that latter part the case, even if their contract has been cancelled? I would've thought that might cause the authorities lega...

Re: Ex Royals

Real Oviedo have decided to part ways with their head coach.

In an official statement on Thursday, Oviedo announced their decision to sack Veljko Paunovic.

Ejaria is also at Oviedo, taken there by Pauno

Re: Striker STILL urgently required - can we wait until January?

The loan window is shut. We can only sign then play free agents who were available in the summer window - anyone released since would not be allowed to play til January. I would imagine that any free agent strikers still available in early October are either going to be rubbish, not match fit or bot...

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

Andy Yiadom played 45 minutes yesterday and looked good - hopefully no side effects/fresh injuries so makes the bench at the weekend Tuma is away with Malta so hopefully he can stay fit as he was ok in pre-season Anyone know what's up with Fraser? Noel mentioned "a couple of knocks" but th...

Re: Hunt out.

How anyone can criticise subs from Hunt when they've regularly changed the game and got us back in things is beyond me. The obvious criticism is why weren't those players starting? Which is not a criticism of the substitutions. I did wonder that about Richie. Recently it has been: Reading concede a...

Re: Hunt out.

Genuine question. What exactly is it that people are seeing that can be attributed to Hunt’s ineptitude? This could be my limitations as a spectator, but all I’m seeing that seems to contribute to the impression of a poor performance, are mistakes by players. We are capable of some nice build up pl...

Re: Rival Watch

I wonder what the season long stats look like for manager sackings? I'd expect the week before an International Break is quite a common time to let someone go (for example, Bruce and Bloomfield in the past few days) as it potentially gives whoever comes in more time with the squad (assuming their we...

Re: Hunt out.

From Rob Couhig's Q & A Why is Noel Hunt in charge? Rob inherited Noel and looked at what he had done prior to arrival- 'an exemplary job.' He Met criteria upon arrival. He knew bulk of the squad needed replacing. Have refused compensation for Amadou Mbengue for lack of appropriate pay and it wi...

Re: Hunt out.

Currently no significant threat of relegation. Promotion possible, but looking unlikely Currently we need 9 points to even get into the playoffs. To slip into the relegation places the teams behind us only need to gain 1 point more than us. I appreciate it's too early in the season to be worrying a...

Re: Hunt out.

I wonder if we had a owner who'd grown up watching football (like everyone on here!) if he'd be more likely to sack Hunt (I wonder what influence Jacobson has?)

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

bit short on specifics - if the academy is going to lose a net of £2.5-£3M this year and Bearwood has a bigger deficit attached to it (bigger than £3M a year???) - what are the plans for new revenue streams? For revenue streams he did mention: Throughout the week, the stadium is used for smaller ev...

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

• Paudie back in contact, not ready for Mansfield.

• Williams on grass already, should be back sooner than expected.

• Camara ahead of schedule, hopefully back on the grass in the next week or so.
