MattRFC Theres no atmosphere in the west stand, wat u goin on about?

admittedly there a lot of plastics but us loyal royals try our best to get them going, give it time

Sorry, but this really makes me LOL. I don't think you're the best person to post that.

A quick gander at your website appears to give the impression that you are in fact a Chelsea fan. Or at least you were for most of 2003 to 2005.

It also makes me lol because it's typical of newbie fans like yourself to make such disparaging remarks about the West Stand. FWIW, I've been watching Reading since 1970. We chose the West Stand at Madejski purely because we could have a drink pretty much up to kick-off and still be guaranteed good seats, a bit like leaving the R & T 10 minutes before kick off.

You probably don't know that the East Stand was unreserved in the first few seasons. Also, having been in the West Stand ever since the first game, I can assure you that that 99% of the fans aren't "pLOLastic" as you seem to think. Pretty much all the faces around us have been there since the first game and many of them I recognise from Elm Park.

Anyway.... wtf does it matter? Everyone has to go to their first game sometime.

I wouldn't advise it to be honest.
If you have a camera that big the club will be scared you might, er, hit somebody with it.

What camera have you got, by the way?

Or, alternatively, they may be worried that someone would shove it up Knobby's arse. Which, to be honest, I would.

Wit? You cheeky Oirish bugger. I'm sure a picture of a camera shoved up Knobby's arse would be much more fun.

Have to agree with that. Might be some moaning gits but they're not plastics or newbies.

Just don't stand up for more than a split second or expect a volley of abuse.
