We do have a habit of scoring late in games. Might this be another time?

PistolPete
Snowball I missed the goal-scorer. Who was it?

I actually like Long - but you make me hate him. SHUT UP PLEASE!!!

Same :D

Great three points, actually thought Derby were possibly the best side I've seen this season. Although I think QPRs performance was probably ruined by Taraabt being a little :o . At least in an attacking sense, wasn't sure about the defence and Savage just has no regard for other players safety.

Get in!! :D Unbeaten in 6, up to 7th with a game in hand on some of the teams above us, all looking up now! :D

Could have to wait a while for the "Back from the game" thread though

Went from "argh another draw!" to "brillian win!"

Total shots for Derby looks astounding...

Good stuff - they looked a good side and we beat them.

Federici was great today and Long must have been horrible to play against. MacAnuff looks close to his best and Ligertwood is beginning to look the part.

:D :D :D :D

Good to see the big hugs given to Long at FT. Good camaraderie and faith vindication in those hugs.

I don't like him a great deal, but I'd like him a whole lot more if snowball shut up.

Ladies just enjoy the win.

Long and Feds won us that game. Pretty average from the rest of them.

Just spoken with a squeaky and elated Compo on the blower. Himself, Handbags Harris and RG30 ended up ditching the car at Didcot and paid 50 notes for a train via Birmingham and several delays en route apparently. Praise galore for Federici, Long's winner "out of nothing" and a very decent header by the sounds of things. "Rode our luck" was the general summing up, but I am delighted for those who managed to make an epic trek to see another late win.

The A34 from the M4 to Oxford was stranded.

Had to turn off at Didcot after 4 hours.

First time I have seen Leigertwood play for us and yes he's got some faults , but I lost count of the amount of interceptions he made to turn defence into attack. I say sign him up!

Thought Leigertwood and McAnuff deserve more credit than "pretty average" - Leigertwood made endless amounts of interceptions to turn defence into attack while McAnuff looked a threat going forward and used the ball well. Derby were excellent and I think the whole team deserves a huge amount of praise for the way they fought to win that.

Thought Leigertwood looked solid. Feds brilliant.

BTW who were the 2 muppets drafted in to spout propaganda on BBRC . What game were they watching ?! claiming that Reading were the team most likely to score in the last 20 mins. Battling performance, but 3 points nicked. Derby looked decent and were unlucky.

I agree about Leigertwood and McAnuff, I actually said that I thought they were our best players at HT.

But still, Derby battered us for most of the second half, and though it was a good battling win, I wouldn't describe it as a good performance.

Agreed - and I can't remember the last time we said that about a performance away from home (probably Leicester way back in August)...

McDermott interview:

Journo: It's crucial now you keep up that good form into the holiday period.
Brian: It's crucial now we try and get home. It's going to be a long difficult journey.
