We matched them fairly well, kept in it, rode our luck with a little bit of poor finishing from them then smashed it in and had good game management for a change.

Bit of form and we're starting to look good and against a veryhandy side that's had our number for a while.

Two months ago, if the 4th official showed 8 minutes w/ us at 1-0, you could have put the mortgage on (at least) a Stockport equaliser and taken it to the bank. The football hasn't got much prettier, but this side is so much better at staying in and managing games. A few good moves in the transfer market and we should spend the rest of the season looking up, not down.

What would we do without Lewis Wing?
As posted under another topic it is so important to this team that we don't lose Wing or Pereira in this upcoming transfer window.

If you were in the position of say Oxford or Norwich you would take a chance on them wouldn't you?

A draw would have been a good result for me.

This was a BRILLIANT result, well done boys!

Deserved win, excellent effort by all against a very good side.

The year just gets better and better!

Excellent, so at least two,and maybe all four, of 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th dropping points. And tough ask for Orient in 20th to get anything.

Plus Posh or Bolton dropping points.

That's a good set of fixtures for us.

Just back. What a superb Xmas period for the team, 13/15 with some tough games in there

Tbh Stockport the better side for 70 mins and should really have scored one or two. In saying that we defended very well, esp Burns and some great last ditch stuff from
Dorsett

First set of subs improved us and Kelvin made a huge difference - don’t think we created a chance before he came on. Totally changed the game with him up top and Savage at CAM

And another stunner from Wing, love it

Very happy tonight. Not much to choose between the teams, but, as is increasingly happening, we come out on top.

A good result AND a good performance! I have to say since my whinge after the Peterborough game, the last two games have looked better, regardless of the great results. It really is starting to feel like a team again, and even people stepping off the bench or coming in for injury cover have given bright showings.

I never like January though. Feels like it has been such a disruption the last few years. Still more worried about who we might lose than who we might bring in.

Uncomfortable viewing for the majority of it, we couldn`t get past their high press but they rarely hurt us, Burns has improved massively. we look very strong at the back.
Stockport are probably the best side I`ve seen, they stifle you and don`t give you an inch, but over the last 20 minutes with Kelvin on board we came much more into it and deserved the win.
All aboard the Leam Richardson play-off express.

Someone has stated on Radio Berks that Reading lead a all teams league of consecutive matches played and scoring in. I think it’s stands at 18 and we are 1 ahead of Arsenal. Can anyone confirm ?

I still think our starting front isn’t good enough against anyone of any quality. Was ok against Burton but they didn’t get a sniff today

DK tbf harried and chased but not a lot came off for him with the ball. But not so worried about him

Doyle I’m just not getting despite a few goal contributions recently. Much prefer what I’ve seen of Savage there. Randell is a better option than Ritchie I think.

Definitely an advantage not to have it postponed today and get the win under our belts. It provides rivals games in hand, but we avoid fixture congestion.
