Prime example of the ref being picky. Pereira claims the ball under pressure gets a shove but was about to release it . Ref pulls it back for a foul. We try taking it quickly, moving ball. Ref stops play and sends it back. He could have just let us get on with it in the first place.

Brogue Prime example of the red being picky. Pereira claim the ball gets a shove but was about to release it red pull it back for a foul. We try and taking quickly, moving ball. Ref stops play and sends it back. He could have just let us get on with it in the first place.

Yeah, it's all minor stuff, he's got all the important decisions right. He's not blowing up at every contact fussy. But he's being unnecessarily and excessively pedantic around set pieces. Which is just irritating.

Although I'll take it over the usual quality of referring with several bad decisions that could be important. Or inconsistent decisions.

Goals. No, but he did just start talking about Wembley, so I expect he'll mention it off air.

Craig really shouldn't be allowed in the final third. His crossing and shooting is terrible.

Think the ball had gone out of play for a GK so he had to pull it back

What I find daft is fans criticising the ref, when they should be criticising the players for constantly grappling with each other at set pieces.

The ref doesn't want to have to walk over and tell players to stop doing it.

Players do seem to enjoy holding onto each other however.

Reading are in 6th place after tonight. There is a chance they could move up to 5th tomorrow but that would require Stockport to lose by 7 goals or more at Birmingham.

We could now be placed into administration and still be outside the relegation zone.
