Utterly disgraceful and unacceptable. Really lacked any invention, ideas or cohesion. They will get massacred at Derby on that performance.

Truly ****** awful from beginning to end, to lose to an pretty dreadful QPR team at home yet again without creating snything of any real note is inexcusable.

Stam and Ulderink need to go back to the drawing board and get things sorted.

I just sat there watching completely bored, it was completely obvious we were never going to score. We'll probably oxf*rd beat Derby just to confuse everyone now.

Christ, van den berg looked every inch the pub player his physique portays. Might spray it about ok at times but his keeping of the ball and concentration makes sean evers look competent. Not a cb and a general liability elsewhere, file alongside blackett. Essential we get a cb to fit in and compliment moore/mcshane as clean sheets are hard to come by.

We looked neat and tidy for the first 15 or so then just got progressively worse from there which i just couldnt understand. I can buy into the passing nature of our team , i mean the persistent approach against bristol city got us back in the game, but when you are under the microscope as a passing team and fail miserably at doing so like today then there is little chance to hide.

Swift was way short of what he can produce, wonder if his injury held him back? Beerens the same, not overly fussed at wide players constantly tracking back but at times he is ridiculously lightweight. As others here have mentioned unless we get ahead for the majority of times we really struggle to force the issue and end up giving away cheap goals. We need two or three clever transfers and ship out the squad fillers to inject something.

Mackie? Well pahhhh but the bizarre vitriol on his face celebrating was a tad random in a bore sub 12000 attendence fest.

On the plus side, Ilori sitting in the stands doesn't have to worry about whether he'd play if he signs.

Yeah I bet he wishes he had no football to look forward to for the rest of the season at the biggest club in the world.

At last Stam see's the light !!

“We had a lot of possession, but it’s not about possession, it’s about scoring goals"

You don't say !! .. not saying we're in a false position but we ARE a million miles from where we need to be !!

Going into the game:

Reading have not won a Thursday game since 1991 and have only beaten QPR once in the last 9 games.

Make that 10% win from our last 10 games against QPR now, and 9 Thursday games without a win spanning 26 years.

What results do we want this weekend?

We are fortunate that the 4 teams below us are all playing each other. Wins for Leeds and Huddersfield or draws all round mean we lose 3rd place but still have decent ground on 7th and a game in hand, wins for Sheff Wed and Derby means we keep 3rd place and the game in hand, but the pack tightens up.
