Agree it’s a bit of an overreaction. I think things were going to plan quite well until Edwards idiocy

However it’s a reality check for anyone who thought otherwise - we’re a pretty poor team. No manager coming In can change that with 8 games to go

Whether we are poor enough to go down - I don’t think so.

Exactly... I don't think any judgement should be made on Clement at all until we are well into next season. All he has to try and do right now is to get us 2 or 3 wins to stay safe. We've got one of those - hopefully the others will be at home to Sunderland and Ipswich, any other points we can collect along the way is a bonus.

Judging Clement now is stupid and completely irrational. He has already achieved one win in two games and last night we could easily have got something if Edwards hadn't have lost his mind. He clearly has the players working harder and commiting to the cause, look at the battle and spirit we were showing before the first goal went in last night for example and the determination to hold on against QPR. That must have come from Clement and his coaching team, the players certainly weren't giving Stam this much effort.

Time to get behind Clement and the team now, no point in dwelling on last night too much is there? The red card killed us, simple as that.

Agree with this in principle of course although if you're gong to allow the opposition 20 plus attempts every game and the majority of the ball then it stands to reason you're going to be chasing a lot and blocking a few. When you're doing that it always looks like there's more effort being put in. My concern is that this team/squad is simply not built to be chasing after the ball for 60-70 mins a game. Hence a late penalty and two double yellow sending offs in the last two games.

The writing was on the wall for Stam from Burton at home but the point at which I'd have driven him to the airport myself was turning up at Wolves with no intention other than survival/damage limitation. It's not like a non league minnow playing Manchester City. As things stand we're still in the same division as these teams. Sunderland on Friday and Hull last night showed that with a little intent you can get results against teams high up the League.

Mitigating circumstances for Clement at the moment of course but that was pretty much all our intention was last night even before the sending off. Hopefully this is simply because he's understandably just been concentrating on defensive shape and will address the attacking side with more time rather than it being his natural approach to away games against supposedly tougher opposition.

But yes drawing any conclusions and judging him at this stage is pretty daft . By hook or by crook just get the points needed to stay up and see where next season takes us.

Other than slagging off Edwards I can't really see any overreaction?

Maybe the overreaction is about the overreaction?

I had a mini melt down on the BTFG thread, but nothing too extreme.

I don't pay attention to what people write on social media, they are almost invariably complete and utter tools.

Yep agreed. We are going to need to win at least one game though so presumably against the lesser sides we won’t be set up just to absorb the pressure/defend.

Loads of people slagged off Edwards....and rightly so......the man has been an utter dick 2 games running and could have potentially cost us 5 points. With regards Clement I heard no criticism. I've layed my cards on the table early. I don't think Clement is the right man for the job but I'll get behind him......I certainly won't slag him off but I do know some fans were unhappy with his appointment and he is under close scrutiny from them. Personally I think we will be looking for another manager again at the end of the year......but that's my opinion and I'll get behind the manager as is, and hope he proves me wrong. It would be fantastic if he turned this around and the clubs fortunes long term.

Apart from the capital letter missing at the start, and the full stop on the end, you almost nailed it.

He correctly used an apostrophe, something Dave Royal would never do. I think the mask slipped a little there.
