Just cos he didn't play for Bristol City doesn't mean he's not good. His style may not have suited theirs etc etc Plus the fact he was only there 3 months.

Reading have submitted a £1 million bid for Leicester City defender Liam Moore, the Mercury understands.

The Royals have identified the England under-21 international as a key signing this season as Jaap Stam bids to build a squad capable of challenging for promotion to the Premier League.

Moore has fallen out of favour at City under Claudio Ranieri and City will allow him to leave to further his career for the right price.

The 23-year-old came through the youth ranks at City and burst into the first team under Nigel Pearson but he has struggled to win his place back in the side since City's defeat at Swansea in October 2014, and he went out on loan to Brentford and Bristol City.

Moore has been capped 10 times by England under-21s.

I have seen Liam Moore play several times and Alex Pearce play hundreds of times and Moore is by far a better player with more pace

This one is really dragging out. Moore hasn't got a squad number for Leicester's PL season so hopefully something will happen soon.

Here we go, trying to be cheap. Would suggest that £2.5m inc. add ons is entirely reasonable given his age, experience, length of contract left and potential.

Not sure who came up with this £2.5m figure. He didn't feature for Leicester last season at all, and was loaned into a relegation scrap in the Championship. He hasn't been given a squad number, and he's been told he can leave. £2.5m seems some-what bizarre. I think we're just being our typical tight selves on this one - as we were believed to have been with Coker.
