wolsey
loyalroyal4life Tabb is better than Karacan

Or (in some peoples eyes)

Sig/Karacan = academy products
Howard = Rodgers' signing

Tabb = Coppell signing

Therefore

Sig/Jem/Howard>Tabb

You could be onto something there....

Ryn Nah he's just under the radar at the moment. Rodgers can see his shortcomings. Getting back into the squad will be a tall order IMHO.

wasn't a joke was it?!

and IMHO Tabb should be playing he never does much wrong and as people have said, he is a very good passer and tackler.

We need a player like Jay Tabb in the side, because he get's stuck in and possesses a good tackle. Plus,he gives 110%. Gunnarson and Howard did okish on Saturday, but rather than backing away from the tackle, we need somebody like Tabb to get stuck in.

I've never warmed to Jay Tabb if i'm honest.

Everyone bangs on about how he can shoot but I don't remember him ever bulging the old onion bag.

one of our better players towards the end of last season

i'd have him sitting in the middle with Marek and Brian Howard pushing on

For a small guy he NEVER backs out of a challenge.....he goes in for every header.......he can cross the ball

So

Tabb >>>>>>>>> Kebe

If he plays tonight, I wonder which Cardiff player will be told to pick up the Tabb? :oops:

The technical prowess of our other midfielders completely dwarf his ability.

Agree, don't recall seeing him even go that close. He's not creative or goalscoring enough on appearances so far to be our attacking player and he simply can't make up for being so tiny to be a defensive player with being willing to get stuck in.

He's useful to have, but I don't think he really has a role in the team that can't be filled with someone more suitable.

And he's been at his absolute worst for us when played wide, so I don't really see a role for him there. It's not like he's been a wide player for a while anyway.

I don't think I'd see him as ahead of Gunnarsson or Karacan in the pecking order for the defensive positions, but to say he can't make up for his lack of height with his tenacity and willingness to get stuck in just shows how little you actually watch us play Ian.

Balls.

There is more to a defensive role than diving into tackles and he simply can't fulfill enough of those roles. We have too many players who are weak in the air as it is, without having a midget holding in midfield. Karacan could do with filling out a bit and growing another couple of inches too.

That has nothing to do with number of games watched.

Tabb has played in both our League defeats btw. Wasn't involved in our win and one draw with a cameo in another.

Makes me question myself, i think he is our best all round midfielder. It is all very strange.
