I think he's on loan to exeter?

He's not. Anyway, neither he or Brett Williams (who?) were included in the squad so they are ineligible for league games until January.

No real suprises in the squad as not really much else to bring in.

I can't be bothered to trawl through every teams squad list but I wouldn't think there will be many clubs that have named 4 goalkeepers in the 25.

Spurs have four, plenty of teams haven't filled the 25 though. Looking at that, I reckon we'll be one of the few without any Under 21s regularly making the squad.

I don't think it is an under 21 squad. I think it is those players who are under 21 who could play in the Premier League as thay are not counted in the 25 man squad

Is anyone fed up of how Reading FC media employees try to put spin on the dealings? Like claiming new contracts is like signing a player... or reminding us of what we've signed on the final day of the transfer window?

I'm not suggesting we do what other clubs do and panic on the last day. It's good that we negociate effectively to get deals done in the 2 months available. However, Reading FC particularly on facebook seem to think we're all idiots. Frustrating.

On an aside but relevant to some of the posts on here thank God we have the manager we do and thank God for the way Hammond and Brian go about things. Blackburn manager Steve Kean says he hasn't seen half the signings he made for Blackburn play. I always felt a bit sorry for him when he was getting all the flak at the end of last season but this, surely, is an example of how not to run a football club. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19487663

If I was a manager I would want to see the players play at least once. At the same time, you could argue it is the role of scouts to watch the players and report back, rather than the manager. Fortunately we have Brian who can do both roles.

I don't understand - surely it's only fair that the guy who actually gets to pick the team also gets to choose who comes in?
