Mcdermott's full record is W 2 D 3 L 3 including 5 away games and 3 games against Premiership opposition.

To ignore cup results against the likes of Burton or sides that don't give a toss is understandable but that was not the case with either Liverpool or Burnley.

Most the complainants seem to be the same people who said 20 games wasn't long enough to judge Rodgers by, so how come 8 is enough to judge McDermott by? And, even if it is, his record isn't too bad.

Seriously, what were you expecting? We aren't paying top wages, we have no transfer budget, we're in the relegation zone.

In the circumstances, McDermott is the best option FFS man up, get a grip, grow a pair, and get behind him and the team. The damage was done months ago, no point in crying about it now.

What is this grow a pair rubbish you keep going on about? How does backing the team make you any more brave?

You're entitled to do that, but you're not entitled to call yourself a supporter or a fan ever again as you're not. When the going got tough, you folded and threw your toys out.

Winning at Anfield was quite a big achievement IMHO, and only in the Plymouth game have we looked like relegation candidates.

Christ.

West Stand Flash Madejski's statement on the appoitment couldn't have been much more tosh if he possibly tried.
What a god awful appointment @ what has become a laughing stock football club.
I'm sure the pathetic RTG's will be happy

RTG probably includes me (on the basis of the fact that i don't react to everything with doom and gloom) so my response is this:

No, I'm not particularly happy (probably an understatement), but I couldn't see anything else happening than this, so the sooner it was confirmed the better. The confirmation of BM as manager makes me no more unhappy - because it was surely always going to happen.

IMO we are in a mess, both on the pitch and off it, but we may well have the capability to drag ourselves out of it.

A decent striker is what we all know we need. Can we find one? I don't know. But I hope so. I'm not going to right off Thorvaldsson yet, but equally even if he comes good he needs a good partner unfortunately none of the other 3 is hitting the back of the net either - so loaning in a pre-made solution in the form of a good striker would seem the best option. But like you I don't see it happening. Which means McD can only persevere in trying to play his strikers into form.

Is McDermott really going to keep us up? How the hell should i know! The only thing I can say is that the way things went with all this, it was never going to be anyone else.

I'm sorry if you couldn't see it coming as well. Perhaps then you wouldn't be ranting about it so much now.

Wimb Well that's it then, nout left to do but get behind him 100% for better or worse until the end of the season, good luck Big Mac!

That comment would best be addressed at the Chairman in terms of the remaining couple of days left of the transfer window and our desperate need for a quality, proven goalscorer.

Usual bull Madejski but strangely missing his usual 'Proves our Premier League ambition' catch phrase.

Still when McDermott becomes the latest managerial scape goat for the effects of Madejski and Hammond's ludicrous cloth cutting, at least he will now get a bit of a pay off!

So like the twat Madejski you don't think the league table makes us look very much like relegation candidates.

Why is it that some people still haven't realised that you get f*ck all points for looking good?!!

So your only a fan if you support something you dont agree with?? If thats the case, then yes I'm not a supporter

Just because I'm not a pathetically blinded RTG like you, your 'throwing your toys out'.
