I guess it's fairly normal to recruit people you've worked with before if you think they did a good job back then. However, the risk of doing that too much is that you miss out on new blood and fresh ideas. Furthermore, I would suggest that Reading and Wycombe are very different clubs/businesses, so what worked for Wycombe might not necessarily work at Reading.

Know him and the Peters fam. Couldn't be anymore staunch Wycombe. Never had him down as MD material. Odd appointment.
