Reading FC - Official
GOAL 2-1 to Reading and it's a good finish from Obita, he took a touch and volleyed home nicely. The floodlights have gone out down our end of the pitch(!) but play continued and it was a nice goal from the 17-year-old

Have to admit, I'm starting to get a little excited by Obita. Definitely playing himself into first team contention this pre-season

he's ready. he has pace, quick feet and a terrific cross on him. and whats more he's been consistant this summer. i haven't heard a peep about the other wingers, though to be fair hrk has also shone, carrying on from where he left off in may.

Yep and Madejski will sell him and all the RTG's will call it good business but the money will never be seen again

You wouldn't be happy supporting any club other than Man City if that is your attitude. It is a good job your misguded pessimism is just a highly amusing internet persona, and in real life you are just as excited as the rest of us that we have another good player to look forward to.

Typical knee jerk reactions all round. How anyone can take pre season friendlies seriously is beyond me

I remember a certain Northern Irish ex-manager of ours failing to take pre-season seriously.

Good. Workout. Poor first half with Somks particularly at fault and bailed out time and again by Boris. Jem stood out but tweaked a hamstring.

Different class when cavalry came on. Jordan will be quality, but for me Jake Murphy was very good. Morrison impressed, too.

Special mention for Griff - composed and wound up the left winger. Shoulx have clattered him harder.

Other highlighs - playing in semi darkness and the lady getting her baby changed at half time.
