Pitch invasion utter embarrassment.

Struggling to see what Burnley fans done wrong. Fair play to them. It's call banter.

Read up on herd mentality and decentralised decision making. Is it too much of stretch to realise that a majority of us thought we'd done it and fancied a traipse o on the turf? I'm truly sorry you didn't get to applaud Wayne Bridge on his monumental efforts this season, but I oxf*rd loved it.

Ooh biff you got to go on the pitch and score a goal with a beach ball, how exciting. Did Daddy buy you ice cweam on the way home as well?

Out of interest did you chat to Jobi about his status as an 'overpriced journeyman' or his 'trophy wife'?

Helluva lot more exciting than standing cross armed tutting at the misinformed, feeling inwardly smug that you're right about the scores and everyone else is a "oxf*rd". 8)

What I really couldn't fathom was quite why achieving 6th place (had it actually happened), by dint of a draw, was worthy of a pitch invasion

Still, we had a laugh when the FT score went up on the scoreboard. The look of befuddlement on their faces was priceless.

Go oxf*rd yourselves.

What are you appreciating, a bunch of under-performing prima donnas who blew their play-off place with a series of appalling performances?

If Forest had scored a last minute equaliser - pitch invasion is fair.

If we had scored a last minute winner - pitch invasion is fair.

Both are fair outpours of celebration. If we'd won 2-0 comfortably it'd of been pointless.

And there was me just having a few pints with my mates. But hey that's not as fun as going on the pitch and kicking a f[u]cking beach ball around like a five year old.

Next time you feel like having a bright idea try and let us know in advance so we can chase you with a knife (to pop the beach ball of course).

Royal Lady Agreed with the OP - Schards said to some bloke are you absolutely sure that Forest have equalised and he said yes. Complete and utter belmonts. And while I'm on the subject of fans - Burnley's fans can do one, I hope they beat Derby's "record" in the Prem - after we applauded them for getting promotion, they continued to rub our faces in the fact we were losing and then cheered when they saw the Brighton score. No effing need for that. Maybe I'll feel differently in a couple of days - but they REALLY p'eed me off.
At least there were several hundred Burnley fans who had stayed behind to applaud our team as they completed their "lap of appreciation" to a near empty stadium....where the hell were you lot?

The pitch invasion was an EPIC FAIL, one of which Brighton fans will be lapping it up on YouFace right now....and so they should....enjoy that one Gulls

Great game...we deserved the win, but that's football....................stayed behind to pay my respects to a lot of our team who wont be with us next season

Go oxf*rd yourselves.

More would have stayed if it wasn't for embarrassing pitch invasion. And then some had to go get buses and stuff so couldnt stay because of the oxf*rd oxf*rd who invaded

+1 No one knew if the players would even come back out. Blame the pitch invaders for that!

I think the point is they come out and show their appreciation to us for our 'support'. I'd have preferred one extra goal tbh .

This.
We may well have given a good performance today but you don't get a "lap of appreciation" for one decent performance.

Rubbish season, massive underachievement.
Whether it's supposed to be them clapping me or me clapping them I just couldn't be arsed hanging about 30 minutes to particpate in such nonsense.

I hope when they walked round an empty stadium they had a good long think about what might have been.

Deary me...on days like these, the likes of you seemingly have little concept of football, footballers and supporters my friend.

God help us when we really have a poor season

Have Jobi and Ledge not given us enough over the last four or five years to warrant hanging around for a bit? It's unlikely we'll see either in an RFC shirt again.

FWIW G8 started the Forest 2-2 rumour. The ballboys gathered in front went mental and it snowballed.
