Free kick was taken after 4 mins and about 40 secs, someone should tell him you do not allow time to take free kicks.

he does have a habit of doing tackles like that. He really needs to learn he can't do that sort of thing outside the 4th division.

That was my immediate fear when he subbed on for Doyle --I figured at the very least a bonzai tackle from him and a booking were inevitable and was hoping it'd be Bikey on for Doyle in the first place, so long as it was 90 minutes in the bunker anyway.

notthing wrong with those tackles usually, disrupts the build up from the back. He just nailed his guy this time and so got sent off. He gets the ball much more often thatn he gets the player, and more often still gets nothing, so I wouldn't worry.

I guess his answer would be that the time is a 'minimum' not an exact number !

And that the free kick was awarded before the 4 mins was up and it's fine to stop the watch when a kick is awarded, especially if there is a bit of a scmozzle going on....

But I was shouting at Styles to bkow for time just as the ball was struck and do a Clive Thomas !!

Interesting that the guy on Sky Sports didn't think any other team in the Prem could play as well at man marking for 90 minutes the way we did today. He was being very complimentary

Alan Parry and Robbie Earle effusive in their praise throughout on the feed we got over here, and both gave Styles a cuffing for some patently stupid free-kick award to United.

Ian, your point is well taken, and I'll bear all of it in mind four games hence. What can I say --the move filled me with a vague sense of dread when it was made (but then, I also believed that a point was possible going into this).
