Snowball When was the voting?
Pretty sure it's done in March these days.
You do have to remember that the players vote on what they read and see in highlights to quite an extent as they only see each team a live a couple of times of times a year.

Hoop Blah
As HSSC says it's also a bit of a popularity contest within an incestuous industry and so Long's willingness to go down easily might not endear him to all those he plays against.

Hoop Blah I think a lot of the voting is done by the PFA rep on behalf of his lazy team mates as well, so although this is a nice award because it's voted for by your peers, it's also the one with the daftest voting system. Considering these are players who can't even be trusted with their own passports and other simple admin tasks I'm not surprised they have to do it early.

SnowballDOYLERSAROYALER Well his fellow professionals think hes good enough - in PFA Team of Year
Championship team of the year: Kenny (QPR), Naughton (Leicester), Harte (Reading), Williams (Swansea), Morgan (Nottm Forest), Taarabt (QPR), Sinclair (Swansea), King (Leicester), Hoolahan (Norwich), Graham (Watford), Holt(Norwich).
Yeah but what the hell do they know?
Just because they leave and breathe the game, train and play
week in week out, they think they know more than some fat
bald man who likes his darts.

Ian RoyalVictor Meldrew The thing is Snowball he is described as a defender when in fact he is a player who just takes dead-ball kicks (very well I might add).
As a defender he is probably one of the worst in this division.
Utter nonsense. Harte has defended very well recently and whilst he gets beaten for pace or caught out of position every now and then the rest of the defence is covering for him far better now than it was when he was a little off form a while back.

Ian,as somebody who doesn't go to games you can hardly judge.
You fall into the same trap as those clouded by the goals scored-he is a poor defender but a very good dead-ball kicker.

Ex-pros were once pros who voted for the PFA awards-'nuff said?

Grant Holt I didn't feckin vote for him.

Snowball In the last ten games our GD has improved by 15 goals, while conceding 12 (3 in one game, 1 per game average for the rest)
Harte has had 13 clean sheets this season, gets to 18th in Actim (on 4 games less) gets picked as a PFA player
and still there are jokers who feel they know best.

No, NOT "nuff said". How an EX-Pro speaks on sanitised TV, sometimes scripted,
aiming at the lowest common denominator, is not remotely how he might have
spoken when playing, or in private.
