winchester_royal What I want to know...is why the bloody hell Fordham is holding out on us.

The guy is meant to be an investigative reporter, not RFC's little lap dog reporting their news if and when they're ready.

if he breaks there confidence he'll never get an exclusive again!

That will be because he is a reporter and therefore needs to sell papers in order to earn his wage. What's the points of a reporter 'scooping' his own newspaper by leaking all the details on Twitter. He's not a South African English cricketer you know!

This is as big an exclusive as he could hope for whilst covering RFC!

It won't be in the paper :| , there's no way he found out about it early enough to get it in before the EP went to press.

And we'll all find out through the OS in the morning anyway.

Surely it can't be... he was available on a free, right? Which means we wouldn't have to worry about getting it ratified on deadline day.

And Fordham said no hints, wait 'til tomorrow... unless he caved.

According to Madejski Gylfi went against our wishes so we'll be looking to pump that reluctantly acquired money straight back into the squad. Add to that the unspent money still sitting there untouched that Coppell just chose not to spend (again against Madejski's will of course) and we can guarantee it's definitely going to be a £6M+ signing to fulfill our Premiership ambitions. 8)

No no no, someone quoted Fordham earlier saying it was a striker.

Well I heard it was Neymar from Santos, promising young striker to bolster the squad for our Champion's League campaign.

Oh wait, that was on Football Manager.

So if this Hendrie thing is true, then our 3 transfers in today will have an average age of about 31/32ish? Building for the future aye?

If that is true, and I see no reason to doubt it, then I see it as work arounds until a better solution can be found in January. Do some proper scouting as opposed to rushing out and spending many millions.

How about free agent Darius Vassell anyone ?
Not the tallest mind, so how about our mate Bas instead who's also a free agent. :)

I know for a fact that Gylfi didn't want to leave

He obviously did want to leave - I mean he cannot have been forced to leave; I'd agree that he was not looking for a transfer, but it was offered to him by club; i.e. he didn't force their hand.
