Norfolk Royal
multisync1830 Has the official announcement been officially announced?

Imagine there will be a presser but not until after the owner test is complete. Club might make a short statement before that though.

Main interest for me now is to find out exactly who is in the consortium which will presumably be made clear at some point.

All the members have to pass the Owners test don't they ? That was one of the hold ups with TSI as Boris hadn 't wanted his involvement known and didn't want to get into the test.
It is interesting that so far all we have heard is whispers of Indian / Thai involvement but nothing concrete.
Will also be interesting to see how quickly they tell us about player budget and the future of Bearwood. You would hope that in the last few weeks stuff like this has been sorted and just needs the formal completion for things to start happening

Why, might you know some of them personally?

I've sold carrots to quite a few people in the far east so it's not beyond the bounds of possibility.

I reckon we should get confirmation from Dave today, he's usually about 12 hours late with his info.

FridaysGhost Sir J Maj was a one-hit-wonder on the business front and used that money to become a football magnate. This should have made him use ALL of his resources to turn RFC into a brilliant Premiership club. It did not. He tried to rebuild his business empire ( did'nt work) and hope that Reading would somehow flourish without guidance.

As everything went pear-shaped he tried to sell the club and was conned by Anton, the Russian con-artiste! Left with a losing hand, our so-called Saviour allowed the Cl;ub to get into debt to a Wonga-like organisation.

Am I wrong in thinking that, throughout all of this time, we were told that JM was in charge and, EVEN STUPIDER, that the Reading way of not being in debt was uppermost!

I have grave doubts about the takeover but, it cannot be worse than the above!

Except that Antons man Andrew Oblenski was in charge of Finance and arranged the Vibrac loan. Would you really expect SJM not to trust his Financial director and pour over the small print.

Not to mention that John Madejski is more than a one hit wonder. He made the initial millions from Autotrader but the rest has come from property, publishing and other investments.

The silence from the naysayers is deafening! "I told you so weeks ago", "Anyone could see this would go tits up" etc.

Cue the new thread to predict how soon we will run out of money this time ........

Just love the STGs.

I assume in time we will hear SJM's uncensored side of things if Anton is paid up.

No doubt the next time he's in the Purple Turtle. Let's hope it's sooner rather than later.

I'd guess that once the club has new owners then it will be announced !
As anyone who has bought or sold a house will know until you have the keys in your hand the deal is not done. Seems like we're 99% of the way there but until it's 100% I'd rather they didn't get ahead of themselves.
