Stranded Years loan, to get more PL experience before taking over from Cashley in 2013/14?

Not ideal, but I'd take it like a shot.

purleyroyal Anyone like to see Ryan Bertrand back?

I was wondering that and then saw http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2134159/Reading-considering-Chelseas-Ryan-Bertrand.html

we went back in for him in January when the Bridge deal collapsed. Chelsea gave us short shift then, can't see them changing their minds now

IF they loaned him out, do they actually have any other back up at left back?

I don't think they do which is a shame. They probably have one or two up and coming, but I doubt they're at the level of Bertrand.

Friday's Legacy When asked today about any new signings he said "watch this space", so hopefully we'll see our first one or two in the next couple of weeks.

Just waiting for the premier league to confirm Anton as owner and then he'll sanction some moves

This week

Van Aanholt, their backup before they loaned him out for the year to Vitesse (I think) will be back for next season. Whether they keep hold of him or not is another thing

might like to see him.....but cannot see it happening

An up and coming, ongoing replacement for Cashley...why would Chelsea want to lose him?

and besides we gave him the bird when he turned up on loan for Forest

i didnt, and nor did the vast majority of reading fans

If we only signed 3 players and they were Betrand, Doyle and Long I for one would be happy.

This is a joke right? Doyle and Long are vastly over-rated......

After last night I'm hoping Thomas Ince will come to us if B'pool don't go up.

Antonio scores his 5th for Sheff Wednesday putting them 1-0 up. Win and they're up!

I can see them putting a bid in if they secure promotion. Sell or keep?

Have to agree with that. I'd like to see him given a chance next season and push Robson-Kanu for 3rd choice back-up.

^ this - I think he showed great potential in his last couple of games for us - a bit inconsistent, but nothing that game time and experience won't sort out...

Out of interest, he could well get promotion with two different clubs in the same season......can't be too many players who can claim that....

Sell if we can demand a decent fee, he won't break into starting 11 may as well try making some money

+1 Think he's done enough to push out HRK.

He's done nothing in a Reading shirt. I'm no means Kan('nt d)u's biggest fan but a couple of good loan spells at League 1 clubs does not make Antonio better than him.
