2 world wars, 1 world cup I think Kebe is one of the most exciting players at the club for a long time. Every time I've seen him come on he's made at least one run that has jolted the game somehow and gotten our hopes up.
I seriously think this guy could be one to watch in the Championship.
Re: booing him, I think that's not Kebe's fault per se but more because we'd all been crygin out for a decent right winger all season and in the end we got a cheap "one for the future" in Kebe. If we don't see him as a saviour (which he isn't) and just see him as the cheap *potentially good* signing he was always meant to be, then maybe we'll appreciate him more.

If giving players a chance is being superior, then yes, people are being superior. It just seems that for some he'll be regarded as shit unless he can prove otherwise.
And yes, I do believe if we aren't playing well against Plymouth, then people will boo any mistake he makes. Don't get me wrong, I'm not exactly going to be applauding him if he shins a cross into the north stand from a good position, but booing any player serves little purpose. Booing someone because you want a scapegoat is just sad.

Fair comments Southbank. I share the frustration of those that want to see proven players at the club. The one thing I would say though is that Coppell has a far better track record with players bought in at lower fees than when he has spent more serious money.

I'm not convinced that they'll be any booing of him. Sighs of frustration and exasperation probably yes, but not out and out booing.
Kebe's problem, and possibly Hunts if we buy him too, is that he is a symbol of the recent transfer policy and the effect that the perceived lack of ambition and willingness to bring in recognised quality players has had on results. That might mean they get treated a bit harshly or are given a little less time to settle in and start to perform, but thats life unfortunately.
On the flip side a big money signing has added pressure of living up to a price tag.

I agree, Oster was actually alright on some occations, however got slated for putting one foot wrong, for instance, the guy in front of me seemed to worship hunty
