pardew'spony Are people generally pleased at the plans?
Is your club good at listening to suggestions/queries/requests you the fans have on the proposed developments?

They have been through a formal consultation process but it's difficult to tell whether there have actually been changes as a result of fans suggestions or not. Overall I think people are pleased with the plans and are keen to see it happen as it's clear evidence of the progression of the club.

pardew'spony In terms of how the change will affect the atmosphere (if there are lots of empty seats for some of the smaller games), whether ticket prices will rise dramatically as a result, whether the infrastructure can cope with the additional numbers etc.

I think the general expectation is that ticket prices will fall, unless of course we quickly sell out the new seats. The first phase of the extension is an addition to the east stand and it will still be single tier, this type of construction is meant to preserve the atmosphere but I guess we will see.

As for the infrastructure coping, I 'd be very surprised. To me the clubs plans seem like a bit of lip service to get planning permission, I'm expecting there will be traffic and parking chaos, and real safety issues when the extra fans get to the main road.

Derby chairman Phil Gadsby just been on SSN about Derby's capacity increase to 44,000 and how they, like us, have the initial work already in place from when the stadium was built. He goes on to say that the work would take 4 months to complete.

i see from the pictures on the last page they'll be bringing back the stairs at the back of the east stand, lets hope it isn't as much of a death trap as last time.

I think that's just the artist making it look nicer. If they build those stairs, we'd have the same problems as last time AND we'd all end up in B&Q's back yard!

I could post the URL for the video... however you still need to sign to Reading World to access it. Technology eh?!

Still better than the 2D version tho. Although I am concerned to see the West Stand has lost the corp boxes, directors area and the red seats have all gone lol big screen has gone too but theres space left for that! - guess thats for the video though! lol
