muddyfeet whilst its nice that we are a family club and all that etc etc.

I shouted the F work ONCE yesterday and the man in front told me not to swear in front of his child. it was like being told off at school! I would also like to point out that this was directed at Kanu and his selfishness when we were about 4 on 2 and he shot at the keeper instead.

maybe we do need a family stand!

Which stand were you sat in

To be honest, if I had young kids then I wouldn't want them to hear swearing...but I also wouldn't take them to games in the East stand.

Since when was the East stand the family stand? I thought it was all at the West?

one of the big problems at RFC is that, unlike every other club in the FL, they have designated the whole stadium as "family areas."

Under FL guidelines that means that there is zero-tolerance to swearing across the whole stadium, which is obviously problematical.

they go in on my bus from crowthorne- silly kanu song, for 30 minutes, non stop, and all the way home again.

but ill never ctriticise anyone for at least trying to generate some sort of atmosphere in our soulless bowl home.
even if its an atmosphere of extreme hate and irritation.

Nice to see that we have been recognised again. Did I miss the marketing campaign? Apparently RFC " have made changes to make the Mad Stad a very attractive place for females to watch football" - anyone know what these changes were?

This could be related :

- Special parking area for families with a child under 8 years.
- Priority for families in bus queues.
- Baby changing and 'parent and child' toilet facilities.
- Undercover intelligence officers and CCTV cameras to identify culprits and investigate cases of foul, abusive or racist language.
- Under 16s Season Tickets reduced by £50 to £99 which has seen an increase of more than 6% (12 & Under up 11%, 13-16 up 2%)

It is very important to listen to supporters and not make presumptions about what they want. This season we set up a family focus group which includes some of our younger supporters.

I dont have babies what do I get?!

Plus that seems more of the "family bit" rather than the "female supporter marketing campaign bit"

So children making hand gestures and swearing in a shrill scream are exempt. Nothing is clear cut.

True, but it seems more and more that people at RFC see things in just two shades of blue - everyone who comes to a match is either a nice, middle-class family who shops at Waitrose, or they're a hooligan. Any middle-ground seems to be eroding all the time.

Far be it from me to suggest the club are trying to create 2 groups of fans in a classic divide and conquer attempt
