They do but it does feel they are about to sign a keeper who has passed his peak and is on an, all be it slow, decline.

He is still a lot, lot better than any other option at the club.

i don't think he is perfect, and certainly makes the odd clanger, but is only 32 and I would say behind Raya & Allison is probs the best GK in the Premier League.

Rumour mill now saying Utd will pass on Martinez and instead go for 23 year old Belgian youth international Senne Lammens.

with all the transfer blunders they have made you would think they would go with the more guaranteed fix of Martinez than the unknown in Lammens

transfer related - heard Wayne Rooney say the other day that he didn't have a medical when he joined Man Utd. Said he wasn't sure why but made the assumption it was because he was young and had not had any serious injury problems.

that big jump from Robinho to Torres to Pogba was nuts. also I remember how mad that fee felt when Shearer went to Newcastle.

I think they might have missed Tevez from that list. I have a pretty clear memory of his real transfer fee joining man City being revealed years later and it was way more than had been thought at the time

Defender Igor from Brighton to Palace on loan. On Talksport, Simon Jordan says he has indication that Guehi to Liverpool will now go ahead.

Harvey Elliott in 'advanced talks' to join Aston Villa.

last week:
Winston Biscuit I quite like Elliott. I reckon he could really become a very decent player if put into a Newcastle/Villa level team

uh-oh. pressure on me now!

Like this one. High wages but definitely better than Solanke and Richarlison

I am really unsure on him. so much hype a few years ago but always looks a bit disappointing when I see him

also this moment will haunt his career

As I understand Juve wanted him but couldn't afford the wages, he had a good record there last season on loan, 1 in 2 in the league.

With Son leaving I think Spurs freed up a big chunk of the wage budget, so worth a go for a loan

Agreed - he was an absolute monster when he was with Eintracht but seems to have struggled with the weight of expectation following the move to PSG.

If he signs, the last 3 strikers Eintracht have sold will be playing in the Prem and 2 will head back here for CL games later this season.

If you want a tip on the next player to come out of Frankfurt - Can Uzun or Jean-Matteo Bahoya are where you should be looking.

5th club in 6 seasons for Sancho, with Man Utd apparently paying a chunk of his wages again this time.

his contract was up next summer but its being reported that Man Utd are activating their right to extend it by another year. Makes sense I guess. hope he does well this season and get some money back for him next summer

Tevez to Man City (2009) was claimed to be £47m. City later denied it.
