0-0 - bit of a bore-fest sadly. Burger and chips decent but lack of draught beers meant i had to have a pint of Budweiser.

RE Newbury : ... not sure how much they've managed to re-instate at Faraday Rd yet - they only really returned properly this season .....or late last?
Rumours abound the local council (W.Berks) may be set to approve plans for 'significant investment' - whatever that means? :?
(article on FootballinBerkshire.com suggest new surface and lights. )
- the old clubhouse was pretty decent but got burned down I believe :(
- best check their soc.med. outlets 'X' or FB to see what they say about facilities available for forthcoming matches
- would imagine they'd have 'recovered' enough followers to want to offer some on-site hospitality.
I hope to get back there myself before too long - one of my personal faves - one of the 'homelier' local grounds
- also always got large 'aggregate' crowds over a season simply because of it's 'central' location in the Hellenic footprint - as was.

Eastleigh 1 Rochdale 3. Very one sided game, Rochdale probably the best footballing side in the NL and should have scored 5 or 6. Their best player was Casey Petit ex Maidenhead who ran the midfield and scored an excellent long range goal. It would be a real shame if they don’t get promoted alongside York. Eastleigh are fortunate there are 4 or 5 teams worse than them at present.

RFCMod See the Bracknell owner merry go round takes another spin as Kayne steps down and his son Jude takes the reins

What's the story here? Last I looked (maybe a couple of years ago) things were turning around at Bracknell, new investment, new ground, good results. Has it gone tits up?

Venturing to a new ground for me tomorrow Wessex league Div 1 Kintbury Rangers v Romsey Town. Not expecting much in the way of facilities, but they have a bar and serve Pies, Pasties and Sausage rolls i’m told.

...bit of a hidden gem (depending upon expectations) 8)
...in my view is a great little place and one where they are being sensible/prudent with future developments.

Bar is very cozy - progs usually on sale in there and poss even badges I think? I went back earlier this season - just before Xmas.
Very friendly club staff - tea and cake stall in the bar too.

Car Park is a tad small but there are often spaces in the Village Hall (Jubilee Centre) bit back by the road.

Often used to go very late in the season - was run by the Angell 'dynasty' and I think the Alleyne family (RIP Andy) provided a few players too, before they sank into the County Leagues for a spell.

They still need to put some seats in too, for grading, by the end of the season. I was told due to arrive sometime in March, when I visited.

Dundas Arms back by the canal/rail crossing isn't too shabby tho more of an eatery - tho I'm sure there are could be one or two other boozers in the village (Blue Ball) also probably a bit 'foody'?
Enjoy - not sure where I'm 'targeting' this midweek - nowhere new - poss somewhere in the CCL.
There are choices Tue/Wed/Thu this week if a) cba-ness doesn't kick in...... and b) my car doesn't go missing again ..... I've had words with my 'first-born' :|
