TFF FAI are skint

They won't buy McD out of Leeds and probably can't afford MON

Roy Keane looks decent value @ 25s

I highly doubt it. The man hates the FAI and the FAI hate him. Neither side makes big bones about that fact.

From Despair To Where?
YateleyRoyal Greg Abbott sacked from Carlisle. 3rd longest-serving manager in the country, since 2008.

Not a massive surprise, They'd gone something like two years without wining 2 games in a row and were treading water with him in charge. The fans had been calling for him to go for the last year.

Plus their first three matches this season ended 1-5, 0-4, 0-4. Coventry almost caught them up despite starting on -10!

The guy is a mentalist. Should never have hired him in the first place

Excellent news. It was a ridiculous decision by the Sunderland board, and I hope it has cost them millions and a place in the prem. Some things in football are grey areas and some are a matter of opinion, but you had to be pretty warped to think that DiCanio could lead a big team and it not turn into a car-crash.

You know full well this isn't a pure football decision. He'd lost the team and the fans, but I bet after Saturday he had a serious falling out with the management

Very strange decision indeed.

Well to be honest the decision to give him the job in the first place was pretty strange. WHY?

Can't see him ever getting a crack at the top flight again & I doubt even champ clubs would want him. The bloke is a lunatic.

The only clubs that will want him will be in the lower echelons of football just desperately trying to get bums on seats.

He was brought in to keep them up with his "look at me" us against the world act and it worked but I don't think anyone really thought he would last long into this season.

They let him rip the squad to pieces in the process though. Very odd indeed. They should have just given him a deal until the end of the season & then binned him off.

After watching him on MOTD last night I knew he was off though - seriously mental.

Yes!!!!!!! My wish was granted

Hopefully he'll fûck off to somewhere his talents can be better appreciated, like Kazakhstan

To think he was being considered seriously by AZ, and watching matches, etc...

Hmmm not so sure about that. The Sunderland board seem utterly clueless though - how many managers have they gone through? More than Chelsea I suspect in the last 5 years or so.
