Fees are one thing, wages could well be another.

Not that it matters in the slightest of course.

True, but it hardly points to buying our way to the premiership, as alluded.

Tredder Explain how we have bought our way to the premiership though?

We are in a raggity old ground, yes we have rich people in charge, but i don't see how we are buying our way to the prem, Adel cost £100k more than Reading paid for Jobi, Matt Mills cost 2m, a fee was paid for Griffin, Howard £500k, a fee paid for Harte, £500k for Armstrong, so in total, that's about 4m.

We paid £600k for Adel, £750k for Kenny, Orr on a free, Hill on a free, Derry on a free, Leon Clarke on a free, Mackie £125,000, Ephraim £800k, Hulse reported to be £800k, Fitz Hall £700k, i make that about the same as Reading, give or take the odd player of ours that cost peanuts, as for the crowd, our attendance to capacity ratio is 70.1%, Readings is 70.4%.

You missed out £3.5m for Faurlin.

I'd love to see total transfer fee's paid and wages included over the last two years, compared to reading two years before promotion.

Not to mention the embarrassing stability and turnover of managers at the club.

As for your support, woeful. Big investors, big things expected this season and barely breaking 15k? Reading are getting more than that and there is more chance of relegation than promotion.

It seems to me as an outsider that QPR have all the same ingredients that we had in our 106 squad; a team composed of good players with no real stars, with a good manager (spit!) and a striker from nowhere who cost peanuts scoring for fun (For Doyle see Mackie).

I wouldn't bet against QPR even at this early stage of the season.

Wouldn't say Mackie came from nowhere - he was easily Plymouth's best player for the past couple of years - scored an absolute screamer against us as I recall.

Hmmm, I think a good few more games is needed before any promotion claims are recognised.
QPR do have lots of experience of blowing their feet off, so we'll see.

No, that is the £2 bet, but you can have another £20 that says we finish top 6.

Second bet is £20 that you will finish 7th or below

QPR's support is gash mate, barely breaking 10-11,000 last year and not 15,000 this. Reading haven't had 11,000 for a league crowd since Walsall and the like rocked up.

As it happens I think QPR will easily make the top 6 and will get promoted. If they don't they probably won't get a better opportunity.

Still think Boro will improve and be up there, as will Cardiff (once they get their strikers back) but QPR definitely have as good a chance as anyone. They won't beat 106 points though, no chance.

It's difficult to compete with the other West London clubs such as Brentford and Hayes & Yeading
