Grounds not done:

League 1 - ....... Walsall ......

You're not a proper Reading fan unless you've sat through a grim 0-0 draw at the Bescot ;-)

You're not a proper Reading fan unless you've seen Stockport County v Torquay United at the Moss Rose, and unless you've seen Reading win 4-3 at both Meadow Lane and the City Ground.

Stockport play at Edgeley Park and Macclesfield play at Moss Rose unless I've missed a groundshare or there was a random one off game that involved Stockport moving to Macc?

Of the current grounds it's a 15/18/16/18 split between the divisions, so 67 overall.

I've lost several with ground moves and clubs dropping out of the league though. I'd been to Luton, Wrexham, Rushden, York, Mansfield, Grimsby and Cambridge, for example.

Overall, I've been to 32 grounds that no longer exist.

FA CUp 2nd Round 09/10, Stockport County v Torquay United. Original game was postponed at Edgeley Park, rematch also. Torquay then offered to play the game at Plainmoor but the Cheshire FA said the game had to take place at a suitable location within Cheshire, so Macclesfield's Moss Rose was chosen, hence why Stockport County v Torquay United took place there.

Ironically, Stockport played at Edgeley Park three days prior to the tie, which Torquay won 4-0. I decided to drive up and see it 8)

92 Club

Bristol Rovers last night took me up to 72 of the 92. Brighton's new ground is my only new ground in the Champo (went to Withdean), got 7 in League 1 and 12 in League 2, so reliant on random cup draws to complete the list. Obviously been to a lot more (over 100) when you add in ex-grounds, clubs no longer in the league and grounds on the continent.

How many has anyone else done?

Lots of different rules can apply - but for most people it's seeing a bona-fide game at the ground, which does include friendlies.

Can you count games which you saw at a non-league ground, if the team then gets promoted into the league? :?

Why not? As long as its a current league club surely it doesn't matter whether the club were non-league when you attended a match at said ground...

Collecting stamps > being a member of the 92 club.

I guess the 92 club isn't something you'll ever have to worry about mate (short of MUFC doing a Bradford!)

If it's following one club then fair play. If not then you're a bit of a div.

Agreed - hence I only count grounds that I've seen Reading play at (55 now). Can't see the attraction of going to Hereford v Accrington on a Tuesday night just to tick Edgar Street off the list

Depends if you're a fan of "the game" or whether you're more of a fleece wearing sheep type who'll go to any lengths at any cost to watch your beloved team. I actually think the second type of fan is far more pathetic though I realise I'll be in the minority with that view.

Red - I refer you to my previous post. Would you not think it a little pathetic for a "fan of the game" to travel 200+ miles on a wet Tuesday evening in February just to tick another ground of the list?

That specific example is tragic whether you support the club or not.

But if you're a fan of lower league football and more so old football league grounds, and are visiting family in Herefordshire of a weekend say, then I'd have no beef with someone taking a few hours out to visit Edgar Street on a Saturday afternoon, regardless of who the away team are.

I was quite happy with myself when looking at the fixture list this season, realised i had been to 16 out of the 23 clubs. I plan to do most of the others this season as well.

What if you were a one team man who likes to follow their "beloved" club on away days and also doesn't wear a fleece :?:
