Snowball I really hope QPR go down, but does anybody know what happens if they do?

They have a monster penalty. If they refuse to pay then they would
be excluded from the league.

Would an extra team come up from league 1, or would we only relegate two?

i suspect (if they go down) that some 3-4-5 years deal will be arranged
but it will be interesting if they simply say "We have no money"

Anyone know what the fine is, and how much of the parachute it would eat up?

And, say QPR said, "We'll pay you at the end of 2015-16 from our PP
and then they got promotion, were back in the top flight and said, "No we won't..."?

Pretty much a safe bet that nothing will happen, FL will stamp their feet a bit to show displeasure and then let them off or try to enforce they pay any fines over several seasons to which QPR will threaten legal action and the FL will back down. Plus if they were rejected from FL membership I bet the PL would start sticking up for them saying that if the FL refuse to accept their membership then the PL might have to reconsider accepting FL clubs in to play with them. After all you can't have a club being relegated from the PL being deemed as unacceptable for the FL as it would besmirch the wonderful  PL product.

Obviously hope I'm wrong but it really wouldn't surprise me...

Royal Rother Rubbish.

We'll see but I really don't think it will be rubbish. QPR will by the Championship next year and I don't think they will end up paying anything near the full amount. I can see there being some kind of PL pessure being put on the FL too.

bobby1413 I absolutely detest MK Dons. I had a fuking mental ex GF who lived there ... Not at all a football fan but Milton Keynes is a soulless place, it's like a massive industrial estate.

Milton Keynes - I hate the name, the fact they think they're centre of the bloody universe. My ex always used to say "I'm going up the city". Stupid wh0re

As for MK Dons. I've Been there once as I had a free ticket to see them play Millwall.

It's a ground about 10x too big for them. They have an appallingly low number of fans.

The sooner they go back down the better.

... Did I mention I dislike the club?

I know atmosphere doesn't always carry across on tv, but watching The Football League Show, i was struck by how utterly passionless their fans were. Not a squeak except when a goal was scored. Made the Mad Stad sound like an Auld Firm game. They look and sound like consumers rather than supporters.

I wasn't pleased to see MK Dongs get promoted either. If they wanted a football league team in Milton Keynes then they should have worked their way up through the non league pyramid.

I would not legitimise their existence by visiting their ground, in fact I refuse to include them on my accumulator bets for the same reason.

I agree. Passionless is a good word to use. So is "spectator"

When the goals were going in it shocked me how many remained seated.

This is a promotion winning goal
And yet they stay seated.

In another thread on HNA someone said about a rugby match and the atmosphere being good.

Well I couldn't give two poos about that. Milton Keynes football club have fabricate themselves a championship team.

Watching them on the FLS was off. It seemed like a commercial franchise had gone up.

The only I way can describe it is - they didn't seem like a real football team.

I've got no real beef with the MK Dons and all that franchise stuff, the move should never have been allowed but IMO the real villains were the Football League who ripped up their own rule book to allow it to happen, and I don't blame Winkelman as such, he's a businessman, he chanced his arm and struck lucky. It's just that after all the furore over the move and the talk of a town the size of Milton Keynes deserving it's own league club, you'd expect the team to be embraced with some passion, that was one of the reasons cited for the move after all.

All credit to Karl Robinson and the players, they are a very good team that play great football but they don't deserve that support.

Isn't it about time that 3 get relegated from League Two and 3 come up from the Conference - the "non-league" teams have shown that can compete in the big time and most of the bigger teams down there are professional anyway.

I went to see them play Scunthorpe this season just to tick off Stadium MK. A surreal experience - completely unenjoyable.

Went in the Scunthorpe end and had a miserable time. They're an excellent team but will always be illegitimate to me for the reasons stated.

And so PNE enter their 10th (tenth) playoff campaign. 9 out of 9 unsuccessful attempts so far, including 3 final defeats.

The inlaws (and locals) are not optimistic!

Sheffield Utd, the other team along with us who have achieved the unenviable triple crown of a play off final defeat at the old Wembley, Millenium Stadium and new Wembley

If they do come up I just hope we have got our shit together as the thought of "being owned" at the Mad Stad by both them and the wurzels next season is just too painful to contemplate.
