There's definitely a deeper problem with the mentality at Spurs but Ange's record since the first 10 games of last season is terrible. More defeats than wins I think

It does contextualise a little what Liverpool need to do to secure the title that, after playing badly at Newcastle for a draw (and nearly a win), City and Arsenal both drop points. That Everton fixture will obviously need to be squeezed in somewhere, but I wonder whether Slot might now double down on the time off and rest the likes of Salah and Gravenberch for their trip to Girona tomorrow. If he does, some players will get a nice 10-day stretch without a game, before Fulham visit next weekend.

Interesting period coming up for Chelsea. They've hit some good form, even if they were perhaps fortunate to come away with three points yesterday. In their next seven games, they play no-one higher than 8th-placed Brentford, and four of the bottom six. We'll know what they are about in a few weeks time.

And dare I say it, Sancho is beginning to look like a player again, at Chelsea.

He quite often does that for the odd game or two. Spurs being Spurs in defence made him look very good yesterday too. Not noticed him much this season, has he been starting a lot of games? One of those players that you think plays on confidence.

Yeah, he had the odd good game at Utd to. Not really done that much at Chelsea.

I hope he gets back to what he was and can produce this for England!

That save by Martinez was a thing of wonder.

Should be talked about for years to come.

Why did Ait-Nourri take that bloke’s glasses? Did that bloke get them back OK?

Why are there suddenly two 7pm kick offs today in the Premier League?

I also note that the VAR incompetents for Saturday got assigned to the Forest game, wonder if they’ve been allowed out for today.

After watching the videos on it, Taylor should have given Walker two yellows, one for his pathetic sihthousery and the second for his embarrassing play acting dive to try and get Hojlund sent off.

I do actually think that the penalty for simulation should be red. Denial of a clear goalscoring opportunity is a red, so tricking the referee to create a game defining moment should also be one.

Obviously blurry, as sometimes players go down for light contact of soft fouls. Maybe VAR should be able to check for "Egregious simulation" for the worst cases.

I think we have already reached the point of the season where the 'I fear for them' line is getting rolled out, and fans are also adding in some 'its a disgrace if we go down, I don't know what the future holds if we are relegated'

You've spent most of your life watching your team outside of the top division, getting there briefly doesn't now suddenly mean that being back out of it is unimaginable and disgraceful, it just means you didn't do very well in a competition, and you get to have another go next year against different opponents. You'll still go, you'll still see the same people there, you'll still sing the same crappy repetetive songs, and you'll win some games and enjoy your Saturdays.

I do wonder what the benefit of going up is for these sides though, for the fans I mean (obviously the money is good). You're losing every week, it's shit
