Still clinging to the hope that Chesterfield can defy the odds and win through. I fully expect Preston to get promoted though as they were by far the best team of the 4 over the season.

We know it rarely works out like that though. Be a shame if they do balls it up though - that said, I would like a local derby with the swine next season.

Plymouth 2 - 3 Wycombe

Yet Wycombe were 3 nil up until the 75th minute or something like that

It's pretty much all open. Personally I'm in limbo. I don't really feel any affection for Wycombe, a bit of the oppositte. I think Plymouth may deserve it more.

That's based on nothing but my gut feeling so happy to be corrected.

While Plymouth still play McCormick, I hope that they rot.

Shame, as they were always a good fun fixture at home and away

Snowball I really hope QPR go down, but does anybody know what happens if they do?

They have a monster penalty. If they refuse to pay then they would
be excluded from the league.

Would an extra team come up from league 1, or would we only relegate two?

i suspect (if they go down) that some 3-4-5 years deal will be arranged
but it will be interesting if they simply say "We have no money"

Anyone know what the fine is, and how much of the parachute it would eat up?

And, say QPR said, "We'll pay you at the end of 2015-16 from our PP
and then they got promotion, were back in the top flight and said, "No we won't..."?

If I recall correctly, the fine is about £50m, which will eat up at close to all four year's parachute payments and maybe then some. In theory, it's pay up, or play in the Conference, assuming the Conference lets them in. In practice, it's probably going to be reduced and structured over a few years. But I'd expect a transfer embargo of some sort until it's paid - perhaps all transfer revenue redirected to the FL and only allowed free signings.

If the FL don't enforce a major fine, or let QPR pretend they'll pay it, or make a token payout before getting promoted again and giving the FL the finger for the third time, there's no point in the rules existing.

Indeed. Which is why I refuse to believe the naysayers and their "we all know they won't have to pay" line.

Unless Fernandes decides to chuck in £50m with no hope of getting it back QPR are fcuked.

Even if he does they are still left with massive wage bills and a completely broken plan which it could take 10 years to recover from whilst shuttling around the lower / non leagues with a bunch of trainees and free transfers.

Doomed I tell ya, they're doomed.

(Someone else can assess the balance of belief / wishful thinking!)

Make it 6

You'd think the citeh fans would make some noise though! Biggest cheer was when SWP came in for QPR!
