erwin Reading scouts have apparently been watching Portugal's top scorer (14) Nenê, Brazilian, 22. He didn't score at the weekend, and his team, Nacional, lost at Estrela da Amadora. But the boy's mustard.

Nacional is the team from Madeira who sold Ronaldo to Sporting Lisbon before he went to Man Utd. I wonder if Nacional negotiated a sell-on clause when they released him and how much of the gazillions for the Sporting-Utd transfer they actually manged to get.
Erwin will know.

Er ... should, but don't, unfortunately.
I don't see why Reading wouldn't be able to buy this bloke. He wouldn't cost more than 5m because he doesn't really have much of a track record yet, apart from this year when he looks like he'll finish top scorer in the Liga. But the question would arise ... would he be allowed to play in England? What are the rules for non-internationals?

Smoking Kills Dancing Doe I doubt there have been many if any transfers that have not happened cause JM has refused to cough up the money.
I include Neil Lennon in that, cause even if Gooding doesn't, I remember Gradi coming out and saying he wouldn't sell Lennon to Reading cause he was too good for us.

I remember hearing that the only time JM has refused to sanction a transfer is when we wanted Upson on a permanent deal.
