Warnock??

Are you having a fcuking laugh? I would not attend any games if he was in charge. Worst replacement EVER. No thank you!

No one can replace Brian - he is possibly the best manager we have ever had.

Looking through this replacement list is rather depressing. It absolutely confirms without doubt Brian should stay.

I think the club may have to go foreign if they did change you know - take a bit of a risk on someone relatively unknown (in the PL anyway). All the usual suspects are over the hill & generally shite.

So people on here are saying McDermott is "out of his depth" in the PL but then suggest Neil Warnock, whose specialist subject is being not good enough for the PL, to replace him.

Melonhead said it to be fair. He would take two managers that have always failed in the PL in Warnock and McCarthy

His football knowledge knows no bounds

i said it because, if we are going down, as everyone thinks, then they would be the two most proven at getting us back up
but if thats the case then id happily stay with brian, cos i prefer him.

i can see no manager out there now who could change the way we play within our financial boundarys, and improve our points tally, who i think would come to reading at th eminute.

curbishley is another i would take over the other two, but he wont go outside th eprem, and i dont think hed come to reading cos he will think th erisks of getting relegated are too high

melonhead id take warnock or mick mcarthy if we are going down anyway

but would prefer to stick with brian please

I'd take McCarthy. Other names that I'd like to see (although are in employment and a bit out of our reach) are Martinez, Adkins... even Holloway maybe.

To get us back to the PL next season there are few better than those two. To keep us up this season is almost impossible, whoever you are.

Not sure if its already been said but I'd go for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer if we could get him.

Has done well in Norway with Molde and is likely to be attracted to a prem club he can come and make his mark on... assuming he wouldn't mind an against the odds relegation battle and to be paid peanuts.

Hasn't been mentioned I don't think. Fantastic shout though!
Doubt he'd leave Molde for us though.

Possible new manager

by Royalwaster » 08 Dec 2012 16:52

Anyone must be better than this .... dreadful football and terrible results. Been a fan of McD but got to say that this is really stretching it. It's not that we played well and lost - we played terrible and deservedly lost.

Never a particular fan of the style we play since Brian took over but this is probably more down to the total lack of a plan B than the choice to use wingers. The insistence of team spirit and working hard over everything is particularly stupid at this level

Personally I think if/when we're just as crap at Sunderland he should go.
