Perhaps they are looking at a mentor type role, someone that kinda gees the players up a bit, especially the younger ones.

We need a development coach now. McDermott/Gibbs will want to work with a core of about 16/18 players, Gibbs in his previous role would take the rest of the pros. Sure that will be the posistion they look to fill.

I think they key attribute for any new coach is to turn up to games even if his son is playing elsewhere. I know it's a big ask...
