I have always thought that Kitson was capable of great things.
I really believe he is the most under-rated player in our squad.
He is a genuinely good footballer.
I can't believe the number of flicks and great creative passes he plays that seem to go completely un-noticed by pretty much everyone.
The one-two with Sidders against Villa last season, the number of lay offs like the one for Harps to score the first against Derby in promotion season, the reverse pass for Harps to score this season.
I could go on.
The couple of things that work against him reaching his full potential are obviously his injury-proneness, and the fact that he gets stuck in with the tackles, a fact that often causes the previous issue.
I really rate Kitson.
In fact, I made sure he was right up there in my rankings for the Times fantasy football, to make sure I got him in my team.
The major thing that will stop him being picked for England, is the fact that the spineless oxf*rd that run English football never pick players on form, they would rather go with reputation or the status of their club.
It could also be a poisoned chalice too, like others have mentioned, as the risk of injury, or even being poached by a 'bigger' club once that first cap appears is always there.
I have no doubt he is good enough for England. After all, look where Rooney, Owen etc. have got England in this campaign?!?!?
