Gunnarsson would hardly fit on a postage stamp, and Bikey would only appear on a red stamp!!!!

Royal Lady
Sorry to hear you'll be back at the Madstad btw. How many games will we have to lose before you throw another hissy fit and stay away?

I can fully understand why our Chairman stumping up £2m for one player might be a painful experience for those who have spouted so much embarrassing sh*te about the man but behaving like a two year old only makes the whole thing more laughable

Any guesses on when this will be done? I love the sound of this young man and hope we can see his picture up on the OS signing his contract today.

Harpers So Solid Crew Alol, i believe Mr Coppell will be in attendance at a few games this season.

WR will attend until BR appoints SC as DoF on the departure of his last hate figure squeaky Hammond, who oddly is now seen as OK by WR..

There's more chance of hell freezing over than Coppell becoming our DoF and I've always been a big fan of Nicky Hammond, who has suffered from a similar narrowed minded criticism as the Chairman for, amongst other things, the sound of his voice.

Meanwhile, many of the same idiots have prefered to crawl up the backside of a manager who refused to spend his budget whilst we were being needlessly relegated and then deprived of near certain promotion thanks to our third end of season collapse in 5.

Did he refuse to spend his budget though? Or was his budget not big enough to bring in the players he considered better than what we already had?

Coppell did admit he was too complacent in summer 2007 so those of us that regard him highly(I include myself) have to accept he did cock up and failed to strengthen.
I'm still far from convinced though that having transfer funds available equated to being able to attract players particularly if competitive wages were not being offered....which is where Hammond/Madesjki surely come into matters.

we have still not brought in anyone better than what we had, Mills would be a good signing if it comes off, unlikely now tho.

We never replaced Sidwell, Armstrong is solid, but no Shorey, Kebe is no Little, however times move on, and i look ahead rather than back, sadly others do not. I recall a fun match against Luton that WR was well happy with what was on show, and the possible future for home grown players.

You going to Burton Wooders??? i might make it, as like that sort of real footy

(.)Boobies(.)
tomrfcurz I get quite fed up with the people now still insulting John Madejski, yeh okay i've maybe insulted him in the past. But its time to move on i think, just a few seasons back we were like Doncaster, who have a bloody £300k record fee!

Really? You have to go way back to Elm Park for when that was a record fee! Were you around then?

Yep. If anyone on here goes back to Elm Park and see how much RFC has moved on, you see without JM RFC wouldn't be fighting for promotion, that i promise.I know, he's an arrogant tw@t sometimes but lets move on from that
